Is anybody buying/using blink items?

Also, have you analyzed at what level of forging these are going to need to break even with a T6 diamond? I haven’t had the chance yet…

No I don’t really know enough about forging to do that.

For me personally, as much as i want them, I just cant justify spending 10000c on a blink tool when i can spend a bit less then that and get a fully forged gem tool.

The only thing i care about in grapples is distance, in which blink looses out to diamond when taking into effect how much easier diamond is to forge.

Tools I couldnt care less about - thats what topaz and diamonds are for.

Slingbows are tempting but again, cant justify spending nearly 3x as much as I would on topaz slingbows for something that’s gonna last roughly as long (considering its easier to forge level 10 durability on topaz than it is blink)

I think 7k would be where id start considering to buy them, but I’m well aware that’s significantly below current market prices for blink, so as such, i’m holding off entirely.

Interesting, thanks for that. Just a general experience/feeling or do you have some sort of numbers to support target ROI there?

Also I just found out that the blink bombs have the same damage as diamond with 5m AoE instead of 2.

That’s pretty nice.

My process was that it would cost roughly 6k to make a forged topaz slingbow, taking into account cost of materials and forging costs.

And it would cost me roughly 12k if i could buy the blink slongbows for 7k, and forging costs for 5k. I believe 2x the cost for the same amount of shots is about the highest i would go.

I’ve been mainly focused on tools but it’s a fair estimation process in my opinion. I don’t know a lot about the specific forging costs to bring a swift or balanced gem to these stats.

Thanks for the breakdown.

Can you achieve some worthwhile forging on these with 5k worth of ingredients?

I am honestly surprised there’s not more demand for this:

It is hypnotic.

It’s not me, I only have a basket up on Finata

I will say I am tempted to buy one just to make it into a loot stick. I think its better looking than a gleambow totem, even if blink tools cant use augments.

For ultimate bambozzlement, could make a blink slingbow lootstick that never actually fires

I can’t bring myself to do anything more than compact my blink

Heal loot bombs that never heal!

Ah well I thought for a minute it was a basket, but it’s a shop stand anyways. My bad i was glancing at a lot of different things.

I don’t know if your basket has been scanned or not but, is it getting any ore?

In chats I have typed rift when i meant blink, so many times already. You?

I also have an umbris axe that needs this.

People sold me a few hundred on a Finata. I’m pretty sure it’s scanned haha

No worries i had a good laugh because it’s been a constant problem for me. When I saw that I figured it was what you meant and that means other people are saying/thinking it too.

I did make grapples out of my actual rift, mostly. I made an axe and sold it to someone that offered me a ridiculous price for it. And I sold a couple of slingbows and kept one.

I’ve sort of been thinking I should have batch crafted the rift items like I just did the blink and gems for my crafter’s recipe count.

Ah well, next time

So you’re telling us that Umbris is where it’s at. Got it. I’ll make sure to mine the heck out of that one.

Umbris is still ~5x harder to forge than diamond, that’s a big difference.

I only kept 1 mass craft of rift for myself. But I used the compact and refined blocks to build with only.

Also yes I meant rift this time

3 mass crafts of blink and I stopped mining.

But if I find a forger that will let me just pay for the mats n time it’ll come out to being about the same as just buying forged diamond
