While I debated on posting here, I’ll say it now, you’ll have to forgive my negativity.
I guess I forgot just how underwhelming the color-cycling exoplanets really are. Their color palettes and lack of the rarer colors is pretty disheartening. I have spent many hours on the planet (close to 30+ hours) just farming a few things that cannot be painted. Gleam, foliage, wood and grass have been what I’ve concentrated most on here are my takeaways so far.
White gleams spawns nearly 3-4 times more often than any other gleam.
White foliage, white grass occurs fairly often I’ve almost got a few smart stacks of them already
I’ve come to the conclusion that Gleambow meteors have a much higher chance to spawn rare gleam, wood, and foliage. I think spending time gathering grass and plants is probably the best time spend on the exo as they aren’t paintable and aren’t easily found elsewhere in the variety of colors the color-cycling exo provides.
It also explains why the “rare” colors do happen to spawn at some point. I had a few of the really rare colors spawn once and a certain one spawn twice. White seems to spawn 3-5x more often. For gleam that is.
Ya know @Angellus reading through that thread from the beginning really shows me how the tone of the forums have really changed. Everyone seemed so happy back then.
Yeah, I cannot really speak for anyone else, but the devs working on Baldur’s Gate for almost a year without telling the community was a huge hit. I do not really care about updates (though getting the combat update finally would be really nice), it is the disrespect and lack of communication that annoys me. If you compare this game to so many others, it has so much potential, but so shitty management.
Fallout 76, Sea of Thieves, Satisfactory, Factorio. The thing all these games have in common is community managers that actually keep the community informed about what is going on. Satifactory has a weekly devstream and (usually) a weekly YouTube video every Friday, Factorio has a blog post every Friday. And neither of them are even live stream/online games. They are traditional single player games with server hosting software.
Yes sir. Im holding out for Pax Dei they have had weekly Friday updates all through their development cycle from Alpha to EA and EA should release any day now. I’m hyped. One of the best building games I’ve been a part of as of late.
Not hating on my console player friends, but I am not sure why anyone plays games on consoles anymore other than the price of a computer as compared to a console.
Also not sure what consoles have exclusives anymore. It’s been proven that if a game is released on a console then later is released on PC the PC sales far exceed the console sales.
