Thank you all for your suggestions! All your posts will help me further investigate the details as this is now tickling my curiosity so I will test further in creative mode. Not all status effects you have mentioned actually show as a status effect. It may or may not be a bug.

That list is missing "+ Blinding light that makes it impossible to see" on everything, considering how for some reason im punished when i apply bleeds to mobs
