I have portals going to my beacons on various planets. Closing them off is not going make me explore more to be honest.

Picking a few random portals and seeing where I end up would be an exploration exercise I would be happy to participate in though. Day of the (random) Portal!

That’s too infrequent imo. I think doing it once a month would be good and fun. A monthly event, and call it something like Portal Roulette. Or I’m sure a word guru could come in and make the idea better.

As it stands currently I don’t use the portals much myself. I make a silly amount of warp augments, as some folks can attest to as I put them up for sale from time to time for 45c because they’re just too easy to make and I use them constantly.

I use those augments and roulette myself in to various planets. Sometimes I don’t make it back for a few days because I misjudge terribly. That’s how it was intended to be from what I see as a design point, but people feel putting points in to portal access and blinksecs is a wasted idea and bad source of points. I disagree with that emphatically.But I’m not making silly amounts of coin with portals either so that has a calculation in why I play the way I do.

You could still have something like this, instead of cutting of portals access you could instead have large groups surveying worlds for atlas’s or just to discover regions…idk

I know myself and if all the portals closed down I’d just stay home to craft and build. I use the portals to explore and id rather just wait it out for a day rather than spending coins warping around. I’m not going to vote against it but I don’t care for it. A holiday of some sort would be cool though.
