Aquatic implementations is another fun idea to think about. I really like how this thread has spawned and morphed a lot more ideas on how to bring the idea premise to the game. The original concept might not have been the best, but the premise is very good I think, just by some of the ideas we’ve seen suggested.

The problem is that the method decides how much Oort will be available. Personally, I would like to have as cheap portals as possible and I can easily think of a method to reach that. I think many people burn out and leave because of the daily upkeep nature of portals. But that’s not the point of this thread.

The method can generate a fixed amount defined by the devs, think an Oort exo planet.

The method can be limited like hunts. There’s only so many hours you can hunt, but it’s more a soft cap.

The method can be unlimited like kranus in your farm.

The method can be unlimited but soft capped by annoyance like the fuel plants which have a terrible yield, or like centraforge where you’re only limited by how long you can continue until you rage quit.

We must know how much Oort we’re allowed to add. I would love to farm it like kramus. I would hate to farm it like the fuel or goo stuff, where you would spend 30 min per day for two Oort shards or something.

Best would be if the game would have no daily quest, task or upkeep.
