More block properties

Continued from the thread Ungrappleable blocks, I had some ideas for even more block properties that would be useful and fun for builders to explore for making games, dungeons, and other user generated content. These are properties of blocks, not necessarily blocks themselves.

Ethereal: vanishes when struck or acted upon (shot powered, etc), can be walked through when vanished, then reappears seconds later. May appear slightly transparent or “out of phase with reality” Hidden passages, vanishing bridges, traps, etc.

Brittle: a block that is heavily damaged and crumbles into debris when struck, leaving a pile of rubble when destroyed. Can be destroyed regardless of beacon protection, but cant be collected by anyone but the plot holder. This block reverts to its brittle form on a world regen pass. Ideas include digging for hidden treasure, spleef arenas, or less “magical” hidden passages. Ruins relics might be built brittle to have a delicate crumbling feel.

Conductive: this property conducts energy or temperature through it. When placed in or next to lava, it glows hot and burns players in contact with it. Ice super cools it, emits fog and slows players in contact with it. Spark cords arc electricity to it, electrifying it and allowing spark to pass through to another spark cord on the other side. Ideal for neat workshops without holes in floors or walls for spark cord. Power coils simply pass their energy through it without exposing dangerous arcs.

Invigorating: this block restores health or energy on contact. A bit like the healing block of the old Java version. Instead, perhaps its rate of healing is based on the quality of a fuel source? Lots of room to explore possibilities here.

Quantum Entanglement: this block mirrors the exact properties of a source block in real time. Any properties or actions applied to the source block are also applied to this block.

All of these are really great ideas.
I would like to see corruption and thorns do a little damage when you touch them.

according to the descriptive text corruption was supposed to be harmful to the player but the effect wasn’t added to the block.

I like the idea of LED style vanishing blocks, for jump puzzles and such.

OXOO
OOXO
OOOX
XXOO etc.

Similar to the LED blink patterns but probably at half that speed.
