I still gonna have so many unused Skill points Dough
That’s 1795 points per character!
Assuming it will still be 5 skill pages (@ 359 each).
Which I believe to be level 474 before it is maxed out.
I know there are a few people there already, but I suspect 99(+)% of players will have a way to go.
Dunno if you factored that in or not
I think this would work really well because you could start out working toward one 359 point jack-of-all-trades sheet and four specialization sheets with only the minimum required for that specialty activity. Then, when you’re in “end-game” you could max out the other four sheets so it’s less important which one you’re on, so you only have to actually swap when you’re doing intense crafting or T6 hunts or something.
There are some renders available from the artist here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/lxZe4z
Will endeavour requirements for buffs be somehow adapted also to facilitate the single player experience?
Personally I am still hoping the will revamp one more time and gives us unlimited skill points so people can choose to have 1 character to do everything or keep ALTs if they like splitting things up and role playing as different people (I do). If we do get a full skill sheet, I hope they will allow people the ability to get a credit back for skill pages (if they want it) or still provide people a few skill sheets if they like to break things up.
Unfortunately, a revamp like this would be a major overhaul and likely they just don’t have the time for that in this update. Maybe when the new machines that we’ve seen hit we will get that.
what new machines?
359 points would allow you to max pretty much everything possible and leave roughly 45 points for new skills and epics.
This could vary a bit depending on your exclusive “or” choices, of course.
I figured it was something like that. Only lock you out of ultra specializations like lucent tools vs lucent weapons and the two food options. Hopefully add more combat specializations/lockouts as well.
can ya sneak in a portal epic potion while james isnt looking
This is content that is assumed to hit at some point in the next few updates.
When they allow you to apply body paints to your shield,
maybe they will also enable applying your body paint to your cape as well.
Maybe use it to decorate your backpack too.
And maybe your hat.
to coordinate your outfit
So I will soon have melee weapons and shields… but still no pants?
I for one would feel more comfortable tanking wildstock if I could at least wear pants…
pants only act to restrict your freedom of movement.
In other words, pants are intrisically not Boundless? (But using some lingo, some slack slacks could still be Boundless, no?
)
This makes the assumption that there won’t be hundreds more new skills to put into under the reworked skill system. I can see this being either a buff, a nerf, or neither, depending on how the reworked skill system is balanced. Larger numbers don’t necessarily mean we will be doing more, it could mean both more refinement/specificity in speccing or more freedom/potential fulfilment with one character, as you and others seem to be thinking.
Certainly wanting to know more about it either way.
It has definitely been a very cold snowball fight season.
Skirts, confirmed.
I’ll disagree with you there - I get to go many more places in life wearing pants than without them!
That means that you actually tried irl
Kilts! Do we get to use our own tartan?
