I’d like to throw Rising World out there. Java Version with the Planks N Beams addon (Tutorial on Youtube). If you like building…That version of the game is a builders dream. But I do agree on Vintage Story. Great indie game!!! Mining is Tough though.
i was able to find one Rising World server i could get on, there was a big empty city but no players
Slow development, java version updates stopped, rising world isnt know for mp play. Just building and creating. The options to build are superior so far for any game in the genre. Just no chiseling.
While the Unity version is behind in progression: There is some activity.
My favorite building game off all time has to be Planet Coaster in sandbox mode. Dunno if I can call it in the same genre, but simply amazing building.
It doesn’t have to be just a coaster.
But its a coaster builder J/K Loved the tutorial on the game you showed me before. Looked very detailed and in line to my point with rising world. Just the creative ability to layer items on your build to really give the detail.
i longed for that one but no mac alas
I’ve been in the Alpha Test for Pax Dei with a group of about 500+ people on one server building a little something for Asmongold. Been fun so far, the building is pretty damn cool so far.
Planet Coaster not only came out for 64bit Mac, it was on sale :D. No Man’s Sky also came out for 64bit Mac.
I played Sea of Thieves last night and had a blast.
I had been sneaking off to play RUST speed servers to blow off anger at the rw and blam came back to a huge vibe-shifting blowout here; now RUST isn’t working for Mac users.
I recently bought Elder Scrolls Online and have been playing that everyday for a week now.
It’s a nice change of pace and the scenery/lore is beautiful.
Looks great. I will look into Elder Scrolls Online as I can always play more games.
Well I will warn you that your race can have a significant impact on how your class works.
For example, if you play a sorcerer, there are races that get magic bonuses and bonus mana, or weapon/armor skills that match the class better than others.
Trying to find that balance can take a couple of tries.
Can say that ESO is one that I LOVED. Especially one area for leveling. Once you got there, its an endless spawn of Skeletons and hit max level within a few hours and ALWAYS had a party invite. Community was great to work with.
There were a couple of little narrative based games I really enjoyed recently, centred around mental health and childhood, both bought a tear to my eye as well as got a couple of giggles:
I love the game was glad when they added a non PVP option. It allows you to go do some of the quests without players interrupting the story.
Yeah, I’m too rubbish at PvP to really engage in it, so I’m glad there’s a PVE option.
I’ll be playing Pax Dei. They have a 5 day preview going on with some streamers and their viewers on Twitch prior to EA which launches the 18th.
I’m pretty excited personally I spent about 30 hours or more in the alpha.
The link you posted earlier to the video doesn’t work
If you like turn-based RPGs, check this out. This trailer at the Xbox show absolutely blew me away -
The visuals and music…

@tarranth - ESO was my addiction before Boundless! I’ve been tempted to get back in but it is quite a time sink! It is very beautiful, nice game to wander in. I generally don’t do any PvP but I loved the big fights in Cyrodiil.
