here is something of interest…new game in early development
Palia – A cozy world made for you

looks kinda cool
Their dev team was very active answering questions in their discord yesterday. Looks like at least 30 devs and $20mil investment. “Early alpha” should come in the range of “month to months”, but it will be closed, NDA, alpha. They say there will be lots of PVE co-op even at early alpha, though.
They have a lot of focus on cooperation, collaboration, and diversity, which is nice.
Thank you for mentioning Palia, because of this I looked into it and really looking forward to it now.
Another I just saw (from someone who played Boundless) is Paralives, this looks like my type of game for sure, I’m finding my favorite part of the actual building aspect of games that let you build is the decorating-
On the topic of building games, been doing a lot in Creativerse lately, I know a few others here used to play it at least, if any curious, feel free to check out my workshop! I’m getting into trying to build better and share stuff, I’ve got a lot of projects in mind, but also spending time putting others’ blueprints down, exploring, collecting, and all -
One of my all time favorite building games was Planet Coaster. I built many a coaster and even a few buildings/main street areas. I’ll post a few pics. What I really liked/disliked about planet coaster was how you can go about building buildings and props. You could technically take a light pole flip it upside down and hide all but the base of it by clipping it through the ground in order to make a newer looking table … and that’s just one idea out of millions.
I’ll post a screenshot or two …here’s a good video of one of the more popular YouTubers …
I have been looking for a game that excites me with its potential {undefined} is that new game in early access on Steam. If you are a builder/crafter in Boundless I would recommend checking out this game. You can define the crafted objects, the almost limitless creativity this allows plus placing objects/blocks on a grid… what could be more fun (apart from if it was an MMO which sadly it’s not).
Check out Bitcraft -

I’ll be watching this one closely for sure!
Random other game comment - Glad I got Far Cry 6, I hesitated a little after seeing some reviews but really enjoying it. In a bad depression right now and finding this game a great escape, wandering and exploring the gorgeous map. Fun just watching chaos break loose among the NPCs, most of which seem armed to the teeth with explosives.
I’m spending hours now just finding stuff around the world, on pause with the story. Story is maybe a bit over the top with the violence for my tastes (not the stuff you see wandering but story related) but that is the only thing I’m not as big on with it. Gameplay quite fun, though maybe not as stealth friendly as previous ones.
Nice pet…
^^
I was laughing at the fishing poles, I think that’s when they showed the player climbing the vines/wall/whatever.
So with that said I was distracted and it took me a second to register the mounts
The combat animations and such make me wonder how well the ol’ potato here can handle that.
Might have to find out. The failed crafting/chemistry attempt was hilarious, too.
EDIT : It’s not for potatoes lol
aw, that reminds me of ARK
I’m going to share this from Far Cry 6 too, because it’s funny.
I recommend popping onto their forums or discord to get that info. I haven’t seen them post many details of the project on here and I assume that is deliberate. You should see a lot of familiar names there, though.
Eh for legal reasons im out. If you all go down this road please make a game your own. Be prepared to spend years making it. Tread lightly. And do not use premade mmo makers please!
Maybe a 2d maple story type voxel? That I will be into. Simple safe and still fun.
Out of curiosity, are you concerned about personal legal stuff, or do you have a concern with that project? I’m loosely following their project so I’m curious.
Seems a little bit like the dunning kruger effect in motion to me, but who am I to say…
The project is making things on their own. World generator and RPG systems are currently being developed.
Yes, you are 100% correct that its deliberate. More or less the team has alot of respect for boundless and really appreciates what the turbulenz team has provided so far. The project is not to replace but expand on this genre.
