Other games

Pacific Drive is a cool game too, Rising World is for me a must Have for people who like building.
In the past I played that game , if I remember it was only one dev in the project but it was for me promising unfortunately no news nothing else.

Yep, Light No Fire near the top of my list! :grinning:

April has two games I’m really looking forward to, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and the remasters of Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Eternal Blue Complete.

On the survival game front, Dune: Awakening in May looks like it has real potential. Character creator is up now if you want to try it out, screen below. Alternate history of the first novel, where instead of having Paul, Jessica gives the Bene Gesserit the girl they wanted, and the Freemen have disappeared. They’re looking for PC testers now actually, though you have to sign an NDA if picked.

Did someone pay you all for bad Rising World adverts? Reminds me of when my musition friend makes pourpousfully bad music by himself to show people it’s a team game (life) and some people don’t realise and want to create a product for their own benefit rather than as something for the world to gain from. Looks disgusting but when I find it for 20p online in a few years I’ll get a copy to write a proper essay to help people who misunderstand media creation, be able to actually put their time into something useful for humans.

So I tried Rising World once, and with the mod they had called planks and beams, from a building perspective only it was pretty amazing. If you are looking at it from an MMO standpoint I found it to be pretty lackluster.

Boundless has a pretty cool building system, but it’s very blocky and you can’t clip items into each other. Two of my biggest dislikes with Boundless and its building.

thanks for mentioning this, i loved the original 1st Dune movie, didnt read the books, i think i should finally

althou alternative story seems interesting and allow them to create whole new world, ill check it and maybe ill be able to test it, i love testing games  signing NDA isnt a problem, tested few games already and usually in testing state you want to keep all secrets to yourself

With signs of developer life in Boundless I think I may stick around a bit

But some things I have on the radar are:

  • Hell is Us
  • Doom: The Dark Ages
  • GTA6
  • Death Stranding 2
  • Mafia: The Old Country
  • Outer Worlds 2

Outer worlds 2 sounds good. I for some reason went back to continue the first one and found myself stuck!

Death Stranding 2 if it is anything like the first one it should be amazing. Just the graphics alone!

Should a game be judged entirely by Graphics?

This is like saying the Rolling Stones are terrible all because of them looking old.

Honestly, I say good things about it because:
The Main Dev promises what they say and don’t mislead players.
Its a Buy to play game, Nothing else other than a sound track.
Slowly is expanding the team.
Re-wrote the game from Java to Unity.
Did I say the Dev is actively engaged with the community?

Its not a great PvE game. A.I. Sucks but building wise…its fantastic and this is coming from an Artistically challenge, Anti-Builder.

On Topic:

Light NO Fire
Retiring from Gaming once my Graphics Card dies.

Skyrim will always be there. Great modpack to try if you enjoy Skyrim and a challenging endeavor.

Cannot lie I am a bit excited about this, I really liked the first two games! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raQj2vqngjU

This caught my eye and I played the demo. It’s a lot of fun with some promise. @majorvex and @bucfanpaka This seemed your type of game.

Thanks, this looks really cool!

One survival game I just started recently is One Lonely Outpost - survival/farm sim on a remote planet. It is on Game Pass so nothing to lose by trying, but didn’t grab me too well right off the bat so might go in the pile.

Got sucked back into a couple old favorites, Stardew Valley and Rune Factory 4. If you like the former, check out the latter, it’s in the Steam Sale. Rune Factory is a spinoff of the old Harvest Moon (now Story of Seasons) series, which Stardew Valley is based on. 4 is probably most people’s favorite of the series (I like 5 just as well though), similar in gameplay but with a focus on combat and a deep (and essential, can’t go too far without using it) crafting system.

I snagged the Conan Exiles Complete pack and threw up a server and started playing that for the first time.

But, Boundless is still on the top of my list.

Very good ones there!

I recommend Disney Dreamlight Valley to a lot of people - basically Animal Crossing X100. Absolutely love the style, customization and decoration probably my favorite in any game.

Devs caught heat though for going back on early promises about monetizing it, and it still hasn’t gone F2P. Can still enjoy it without the extras, but I love it enough to spend on it… and it is pretty expensive on the extras admittedly. I still recommend it highly though!
