Other games

a friend linked me to a Q&A video regarding a still being made game, Reforj. It sounded interesting, so I’ve joined their discord to keep up with developments. Saw this video today

I bought Towers of Asghaba on PS5 which launched today, but it crashes if you try to start a new game or go to settings.

If anyone was thinking of getting it, might be best to wait until they patch it.

Apparently developers don’t try running games before launching them.

The turn-off for me on Towers of Asghaba was limited players in the world:

INVITE FRIENDS TO YOUR ISLAND

Once you build your villages and grow your ecosystems how you want, it’s time to show them off! Invite up to 3 friends to explore your island, trade items, hunt creatures and battle the Withered as a team.

The more I play The First Descendant the more I am enjoying it. Started Death Standing it is visually amazing! Red dead redemption a bit slow but very nice game as well. FYI if you play First Descendant there is a Holiday event log in for 12 days and get extras every day and at the end of those 12 get Ultimate Bunny Descendant as a bonus!

A few updates…

Playing Path of Exile 2, fun but tough! :astonished:

Picked up an Asus Rog Ally X… I’m in love. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I’ve been big on handhelds since the Game Boy, this is my favorite yet. I do love Steam Deck, but more issues as time goes by. Rog Ally X is a Windows system, which I like better and eliminates the Proton constant (and redundant) update issues. Armory Crate (second pic) has everything in one convenient spot, so while there will be a learning curve if you’re a console gamer, not too bad, some things do take some fiddling but within a day or two I had adjusted.

Great screen, good battery life, seems to run most things fine. Not going to get a high-end PC experience of course, but nice pick for a huge number of options (if you have Game Pass Ultimate, a must, sort of a portable Xbox), and can dock it if you want to use a controller or M&K. Price point is high, but was worth it for me.

Sometimes I play r Rising world the game is a bit rough overall ,redundant but the building system is pretty well done.

Hadn’t heard of this one :+1: It’s cool to see that they updated to Unity & have blueprints. I see that players are creating lots of sharable buildings, cars, and items.

I wish Boundless would be updated to Unity/Unreal & add blueprints (plus a big game update overall) :disappointed:

It has mods IIRC also. There was a nice planks and beams mod I think that really made building quite awesome.

Yeah the building part is for me the best part
I remember in the past sharing with the community my first build Saloon style

Glad you discovered it, it’s a nice game and pretty cheap still updated :+1:

I also play rw. Great to see others recognize this little building gem as well. Too lite on the pve but slowly getting there

played this one a few times over the years, both java and unity versions. great sandbox, building is basically 3d modelling in the new one. but needs more in terms of gameplay. not much to do other than building. but it is pretty (that gAI thumbnail does it terrible disservice)
dev is dedicated, i have high hopes for this one :crossed_fingers:

Debating on buying Rising World, Voidtrain and Pacific Drive.

The java to unity rebuild surely took some time but unity is on par with javas version. Hopefully this means some much needed additions to the game moving forward

@Redlotus
as for VOIDTRAIN - skip this one please, i like the demo too but i noticed that game isnt updated from 2021, is still it same state as 4 years ago, you are playing in the loop, same few locations, same few monsters, same few instances, you can finish actual story in like 15 minutes
