i found this and actually having loads of fun
I enjoy this as well, Just not a fan of the reset every six weeks. But it is still in early access so a lot can change. Devs seem motivated so far.
i was skeptical trying this due to this reset but from 1 side is intrique as you can start different season - different story, different zones, different enemies, different gear and weapon, different mechanics its like new game every 6 weeks withour buying it
I grew up in the sticks so Iām used to the prickly testy ā ā ā ā -giving ābest defense is a good offenseā, itās not unlike someone firing their gun every once in a while in an otherwise tame neighborhood where rents havenāt gone crazy yetāit keeps the yuppie gentrifiers & AirBnB community-destroyers out. Iāve read it posited that it works like manners but more intuitive and durable through hard times.
You have to find the right server though b/c the balance & personalities vary verrrrrrry widely. Iām a pretty weak player for a few reasons, donāt get enough out of single-player games to get more complicated than Tetris, Solitaire, and very neurotransmitter-sweet racing/flying/parkour/grappling/etc with very easy easy modes.
Feeling good after playing is #1 so I start w/high-juicy-susie-homemaker-modded PVE thatās gentle and it can take a little while to find out the NPCs are too much or thereās not enough sparklies & shinies, etc, to be an exciting challenge but not induce despair over fumbling weapons & such badly under pressureāIām kind of hoping that skill can improve and/or I can hang in there learning a game controller & maybe get better using that, etc. Ultimately though, I donāt have the disposable income to stave off the decline of getting old at the same time the youngest people are increasingly cyber. SO, server chemistry is everything.
There are tens of thousands of servers (RUST removed singleplayer some time ago) youāll almost never see anyone else and have a great time if youāre not almost entirely only into complex video games for the combination of independent play and collective creativity & enthusiasm in a digital fantasy society oriented to developing as players and community rather than climbing each otherās spines to survive. With enough admin talent a server will pay for itself and then some, so thereās some highly-developed ones very responsive to or even designed by the playersāverrrrry sweet candy for me.
Iādāve jumped on that based on the description but no mac
Iāve been playing Shadows of Doubt, which is a voxel detective game set in an alternative reality.
The game is incredibly detailed in its approach to investigations. It can overwhelm you at first as you blunder your way to a conclusion, but itās really fun.
Itās a little bit buggy, at times, but hopefully there will be patches to remedy this.
i love survival games but im strongly against pvp in such games, we need coop to survive not to kill remainingg survivors:slight_smile:
do you remember when Bethesda tried to add pvp to Fallout76?
they got such rage backslash from Fallout community they never mentioned it again
Iām checking out the Altiros playtest
I often dream of making a wild west build if they ever let us have PVP beacons, or rebuilding the death star to have PVP inside. I think as long as the edges of the beacon indicate it is PVP inside it would be much fun, and you can only build portals in non PVP beacons. But I digress as I donāt know what your comment was even aboutā¦
