Other games

Well I think the game will be hard, but if I look up the Intel Core I7 13700H is does have the Iris XE graphics. Which actually does support DirectX 12, DX12.1 to be exact:

So, did you make sure DX12 is installed and you are running Windows 11 (Pro)?

@NL-Tim @Redlotus @ardele It does say I have it:

I just cannot get it to run. Sort of at a loss. I did do some checking and I did see that some people did some work arounds but did not really understand.

I am without my good computer for at least another month or so. This is why I wanted to try and get it to run on the laptop.

Maybe I can get 12.1 installed but I believe I tried that previously.

Again thanks all. Any other help is still welcome.

Started playing Dawnlands, which is a F2P version of Craftopia and so far is pretty fun.

That game was a total let down sadly. Glad you are enjoying it though.

Just waiting on a good sale. Hate these launch prices now days. But excited to play it.

Reforj, it’s nowhere near as pretty looking as Boundless, but it comes from Four J studios, who previously developed the console edition of Minecraft on the PS3, so they have experience in the voxel space. Early screenshots are very reminiscent of early Boundless / Oort Online, and most improtantly…

Active devs.

I started playing NMS. It takes a bit of getting used to…

It’s a good game to just take your time exploring, scanning creatures, etc.

A game I went in as a backer on early and have been anticipating forever has released today: Beyond Shadowgate.

It is a sequel to the original 1980’s Shadowgate and done in the style of the NES version. There were a couple sequels (one was also named Beyond Shadowgate) but they were different types of games. This one is like the original with snarky writing and tons of deaths, and much larger than the original. From a brief test, plays great on Steam Deck too.

Speak + Self commands.

Earliest death…

This is so funny, because I was just thinking not more than 2 hours ago about a game very similar to this.

This was a favorite of mine back in the day. I remember I bought it brand new for $50 in I think 1988.

I bought and installed Broken Sword: reforged today. Upgraded for 4k displays and it looks lovely. One of my favourite point n clock games.

I’m in RUST, I miss persistent universe big time but like that it runs on a mac and facepunch poaches ideas off the player-made plugins so there’s constantly new stuff

RUST just seems so toxic…
