Cubic Odyssey has been pretty fun. If they ever fix the co-op and add the dedicated 50-person servers it should be pretty fun. Thanks for the shout out about it @tarranth

I’ve been playing it every day since it came out. I only get on boundless to fuel my portals or do the occasional hunt.

I have definitely figured out the resource gathering in CO though. And I like the variety that it offers. 166 star systems with 3-5 planets each.

Boundless outlasted Hytale as expected.

EDIT: totally a joke…

But it did. And that’s saying something. Studio is getting ripped apart on their twitter account.

It is funny how many ripped into owners of Boundless, both old and new, anticipating the end of the game and jumping to pastures new, and after a few years we still play here outliving other ā€œmore promisingā€ titles.

And that other game as well! Don’t remember the name. In all seriousness…just seems like game production is not lucrative or attractive these days. Unless it’s a cookie cutter, tried and true, big potential hit. Getting funding is even harder.

But…Hytale was in development longer than Everquest Next! Now to wait for Star’s Reach and Light no Fire!

While it was me taking a slight jab, in all seriousness I’m surprised Hytale didn’t come to fruition, but not as surprised as I am that Boundless is still kicking.

While I am no fan of the lack of communication approach that Monumental and Wonderstruck both have taken, one thing that I do applaud Monumental on is keeping Boundless going while operating at a loss.

I play other games like many of us do, but I do get drawn back to Boundless because it’s just a good chill game to spend some time in.

I rip on James pretty regularly, because he had a sledgehammer approach to problems.
He’d smash it, fix it, and then say ā€œthere, be happy and quit arguing.ā€

I’ve been on a Boundless break for a month and I’ve come to realize, I’ve hit that burnout point. After 5 years of playing, I’m losing interest.
Though I do have enough oort saved to keep my planet portal open for another year. So I’ll keep it fuel.
But after that, if there isn’t some kind of movement forward for Boundless, I’m going to quit for good.

Well Is it acceptable to operate a company and ignore customer service emails for 6+ months? If you provide a service and product, expect payment today but ignore your paying customers…Especially when they spend hundreds of dollars rolling planets. Kinda sucks :frowning:

Such a shame. I am glad they didn’t do a kickstarter/crowdfund for it but Maybe one day…Another game will take over. Now my quest to find that Open World Survival Sandbox buider game that has more ARPG elements than what Creativerse currently offers.
