Someone come by High Ridge and buy my beans, lol.
I have a request basket for beans up.
There are constantly hunts. even if you donāt have a good bow, bring a crā¦ermā¦not good one and shoot at the monsters anyway while staying out of danger with a grapple. Maybe lob some healing bombs and revive folks.
The materials you get from the creatures (which you donāt have to kill yourself) can all be sold for steady cash as well as the oort from the meteor.
PURE has hunts every Saturday. Portal Seekers, PURE and other have hunts during the week as well.
I believe Hubbit does low-level hunts.
And donāt worry about dying during the hunts. You are there for mats, not experience.
But Cubits for Coin is a P2W non-starter.
I mean, if you get really desperate, scrounge up enough money for a bag of regen bombs, and head to PUREās hub and their basic Mats portals. You can chop enough wood and foliage to get plenty of berries and bark, and both sell well if priced accordingly.
Iām with you. I donāt own a store and I only spend my money at the lake shop. I gather every material myself. The only thing Iāve ever bought is adv. Coils and glass when I first started. So arenāt I already messing with the economy? I mean 50% of my c went to warps when I started. Iām already not gonna participate in the economy side of things so what does it matter what I do? I donāt even live in a town so whatever I did buy and build with the money would only effect me.
You want reasons why? ⦠well come here which ⦠I had already written, but ⦠and normally I do not answer insults, discrimination and insults, but ā¦
Why I would give real money for coins:
- The developers would get so more money, which could be put into the further development of Boundless.
- There would be more money, which could be invested in larger and stronger servers, for example.
- People who can not spend hours / days looking for request baskets to get coins because they have a real life or just do not want to play 24/7 boundless could easily get into coins and support the developer at the same time
- People who can not do well could get coins more easily
- There would be significantly more coins in circulation
- It would simply make Boundless a lot easier
Paying for coin is pay to win.
No, not ever. There would be a stamped of people leaving the game, including me.
And useless.
And a waste of time doing anything unless you like Creative modeā¦
So basically you want an easy mode?
Where other players do all the hard stuff for no reason at all to then sell to you. Even tho it makes no sense for them to even want to do that since they could have bought coin instead making it easier for them as well which means they wonāt be selling anything do you then have oodles of coin and nothing to spend it on!
So add NPCās I can already hear you think. Sure why not! You are then turning it into a single player game, no servers needed!
I really think you thought this was a completely different game then it actually is but instead of admitting that and moving on you want to turn it into what you thought it was, an easy single player gameā¦
That you somehow can not see how this would change things for the worse is beyond meā¦
But Iām done with this, you clearly are trolling, youāre not interested at all in help from other people, you just ignore them and bullheadedly keep thinking up these silly notionsā¦
Cubits for coin mode so.
Aka āeasy modeā or ācreative modeā. Tho no clue where one would spend that coin, ah wellā¦
Iāll respond to each of these one at a time to avoid confusion.
Developers will get more money when they expand The Exchange with more meaningful and cool cosmetic stuff. They will also get regular monthly revenue when they release the ability to rent worlds like theyāre planning.
The servers are fine. They work out the kinks as needed but then again we donāt really get details on what improvements they make to them. They get improvements on them within the current budget they have and since theyāre being backed by Square Enix as their publisher and investing partner, I wouldnāt be too concerned ever about the servers.
Hereās the thing about time and with Boundless. Boundless is a MMO and the majority of MMOs require you to invest time into the game to get anywhere in it. This is true for World of Warcraft, EVE Online, Rift, Archeage, Guild Wars 2, Everquest 2, etc. You want to be some where in the game or have a character or account full of progression then you have to invest that time into achieving those things.
Getting coin costs time. From what it sounds like youād just want to throw a bunch of cash at the game to get coins cause you personally think youāll benefit from this in the long term. This is a pitfall that a lot of people make when suggesting the idea of a cash shop containing currency as something to purchase. This isnāt Albion Online where the currency literately means absolutely nothing. Boundless has an actual decent economy, even in its semi-broken condition, and you wonāt convince anyone that paying real money for coin is going to be a positive benefit for this gameās long term future. The developers donāt even agree with you on this.
Actually it wouldnāt increase the money supply. People quit instantly over stuff like this and those people may have coin in the millions. Either way, if they arenāt playing then putting buying coin for real cash is doing the opposite of what youāre claiming.
Boundless is already extremely easy. The thing that masks or clouds this difficulty is the grindy nature of acquiring building materials, resources, items, and wealth. All MMOs require a time investment to get from Point A to Point B. If this isnāt something that appeals to you or anyone else, then the solution is to not play MMOs.
As an experiment, I spent an hour and went to Besevrona, last night, with an tinanium axe and an atlas. I got:
300 Reactive Lamella
50 Glowing Lamella
50 Shimmering Orbs
Various beans and other
Looking at baskets in Ultima, that were loaded (also within the hour), it was >10,000c. It should definitely NOT be made any easier!
Edit: and it was fun ⦠dodging the meteorites!
I think you all think this is gonna be some huge title or something but this is it. The reason the game is dying is because your solution is get outta my special club and play something else reeeeeee
Edit: I did think the game was something else when I bought it. But Iām here now. And unfortunately Iām staying.
At the npc shop of course!
There isnāt any evidence that the game is dying. Even right now in the late morning on a Tuesday in United States thereās around 220 people playing (across the game in all regions of the globe). Not even a peak time. This includes PS4 and PC players.
The game is also lacking in some major content pieces too and these things are coming. The fact we just got a new feature and now are getting a new things to build with soon along with a new feature called Farming is enough proof that this game isnāt actually dead or dying. There are new players coming into the game all the time in very small numbers and thatās because this game isnāt being blitzed across the internet in some sort of marketing campaign.
Itās an indie title. Doesnāt mean it canāt get a lot larger given enough time put behind it. This is a great time to put the time and effort into making something awesome so those new players have examples of really cool things they can make or do.
Yep, as I said above, which makes sure no player is going to forge for others either, but hey, letās dumb that down too, huh?
There will never be an npc shop, or dev-owned / npc-owned portal hubs.
One of the stated goals of the game is to be entirely player-controlled.
You always say that it would be P2W then. Tell me honestly, is not it total schizophrenic? - Boundless has been P2W for ages. Because one can acquire plots against Cubits and Cubits one acquires over real money, or one can. - And you can also see it on some planets ⦠using plots to wall in huge resources so nobody gets in touch.
I also believe Boundless will die if nothing changes. And in my opinion are NPC shops and coins against Cubits a way to rescue Boundless, or significantly improve.
