I wish I could use them, but last time I checked, you lose oortshards in the conversion process.
It’s not made for players like me who only own 1x2 portals.
I guess it’s good for the BIG portals of mega-hubs like Ultima City on Eresho.
I’d be curious to know if they use them.

definitely looks like it represents the forum well. I’ve never seen anyone claim to actively use it before.
@james I’d suggest making the ichor T6 as well as its current T7 availability, since the rarity isn’t helping it that much these days.
If that happens then the t6 loot table gets more populated and less Oort drops, potentially. Compounds the problem.
It’s funny, every argument ive seen that says to leave it as is is because its useful “for people who only own a few smaller portals”.
Speaking from experience in PS, larger portal hubs definitely can’t afford to use them, because it represents over 4* the cost to upkeep, based on this math:
At that point it just isn’t worthwhile, and even at 1:1 converstion I doubt this would change for large portal hubs.
It’s almost as if the developers shouldnt have wasted dev time making an item that people clamored for.

Not saying I disagree. Just that the developers have been very very upfront with their intent of the item since day one and it hasn’t changed.

I was aware it was unpopular, but im actually surprised not a single person’s legitimately said yes
They should add recipes that its used or or just remove it competely.
Or it remains an item for those who want high end content. Whether they think it’s worth it or not is the choice they get to make. (I definitely think removal is a good idea though just so we quit seeing complaints over it)
Maybe, they could make the recipe 100 ichor and 10 oort shards to make a mass craft of 50 amalgam?
The limitation for this would be t7 spawns and difficulty? Also rarity of ichor?
Or however much ichor needed. I’m not sure about the ratios, but increase ichor needs instead?

I think there’s a difference between high end content, and just spending coin for the sake of it.
Decorative Lucent gems blocks and Blink Slingbows are high end content, oort amalgam is just throwing coins away for convenience, which would be fine if it wasn’t 4* the cost to save 5 minutes to refuel, if that.
