CardLife was an unmitigated disaster… Everything was moving along nicely, then the devs disappeared for about 6 months.
And when they returned, they did one final patch where they announced that you could no longer move through water and that it was now a solid material to harvest - probably to sidestep all of the issues they were having, like visibility and the fact that you didn’t swim, you just walked on the bottom like it was normal terrain.
And then they announced that the game was done, gave everyone a pat on the back, and left… and then bots took over the forums.
This is why Boundless continues to fascinate me, because it lives in some weird realm between life and death for a video game.
