Price Harvester

Can you check whether the files in the Price Harvester’s temp folder are updated when the scan finishes? There was a permission issue with Price Sync a while back and I relaxed the permissions it asks for, but maybe it does require them on some systems after all.

I just wanted to say, this program is awesome. Thank you so much for developing it @OP.
I also had a question – Is there a way to stop the program from creating a Temp folder? I didn’t see any options, and so I wasn’t sure.

I enjoy just using the website that’s already been set up when I update prices, so I don’t need the spreadsheet files running in the background.

Thanks ^.^

The spreadsheets are an essential part of it atm, the PriceSync part simply sends the resulting spreadsheet to the server so it can be visible on the website. Without the temp folder it wouldn’t work.

Hmmm… well I was thinking since the Temp folder is being created on my machine, could there be an option implemented so that when we run the program the data could simply be uploaded to the site? I end up just regularly deleting the temp folder anyway, since prices fluctuate so much.

Thanks for the response, I’m hoping the developer considers this :)!

The program will be obsolete when the shopping API goes live, most likely in the next patch. There were plans to expand it to have a lot more functionality but the API skips the whole step of manual price scans so it most likely won’t be updated anymore.

@Simoyd can correct me if he has other plans, sorry for kind of hijacking the thread

Oh! I had no idea there was a shopping API being implemented. I’ll look around for details on it. Thanks!

@Leahlemoncakes would you be so kind as to lock/close this thread? The utility is now defunct because the shopping API has been released.
