Have an option in your settings, which is off by default; ‘PvP flagged in PvP beacons.’
-
For everyone else, have a warning, much like when you’re leaving the site of a meteor; ‘you will be flagged for PvP in X seconds’ - each time you enter a PvP enabled beacon.
-
Have the option in your settings override everything else. If you flag yourself as a non PvP player, you will never be flagged for PvP.
Sure take a chance but why not make it on a separate planet, then players that do not want to deal with it do not have to worry that an area that was safe yesterday is not today.
You want compromise then this gives both players what they want without the possibility of creating issues on existing planets.
If it’s opt in then sure what you said works, but his statement that you get out your slingbow or turn around indicates that it is not an option.
I just wish people would put more effort into making the platforms look nice and fit in with the environment.
Make them look like towers or trees. It would take more plots but if it’s worth doing it’s worth doing right.
Plus the better it looks the more people would use yours rather than the competitions.
Though at the end of the day I don’t get to worked up about them
Thats an option spawn 1 planet and try it out.
I don’t think any comparisons to minecraft have been drawn yet, but to simplify the outline I was trying to establish yesterday- it’ll be like minecraft but with beacons and regen. My brother and I used to fight all the time in minecraft when we were bored and one of us saw the other standing around at a distance to practice archery
Ooo there’s also the idea from another thread yesterday- PVP SNOWBALL FIGHTS!!
This means no death at all, no required worlds or beacon settings. If they could add it as an interaction (trade with player/add friend/challenge to snowball fight), it’s accepted, then 10 second countdown and it starts. Same rules as the event, where embarrassment builds and deteriorates (as you regain your self esteem?). Nice and easy and it can be done anywhere and only affects the two players. Stadiums can be built to the exact radius of the fight area… I’m overflowing with ideas.
I’ll probably create a thread for this during the event this year so more people have perspective. We talked about it last year too in-game.
Be open minded please!
What would this help?
I don’t think pvp would add much depth to this type of game, at least not for the live universe. Maybe rented worlds or something
