Q about power coils

If I place 3 blocks of my machine in a basement, with just the top block on the 1st floor, can the power coils be placed around the blocks in the basement, out of view?

what I do and recommend is burying the machines in the floor and have storage above so you don’t have to go anywhere to grab some more ingredients. another advantage of having machines in the floor is that you can’t accidentally get hurt from walking into the coil beams (or stray critters walking into it) --as long as the floor underneath is low enough or enclosed… also if you chisel the floor around the machine with a bevel chisel then you can access all of the coils from above the floor!

and down below I chiselled the top layer of the gem blocks so that you can walk under the spark cords
