IMO if you have to make a script to make it enjoyable to farm a resources its because in the first place it’s what game brought you isn’t enjoyable for you.
Maybe it’s a lack of the game mechanics or how it is presented.
I am just gonna make a comparision with another genre of game. I used to play a lot of CS(Counter-Strike) back then for years. When you play you can’t watch tv shows or w/e at the same time, You have to be focus all the time and it was enjoyable doing so.
I think when you are immersed into a game and it’s enjoyable, you should be focus on it and not trying to make script to do something that looks like chores and go afk.
Some stuff like chisel transforming blocks makes me want to become “handicaped”.
Like i have already said botting will never be removed completely, so it’s better to make the mechanics around what is enjoyable for the one who actually play the game.

So… regen farming isn’t boring? Bots shouldn’t be punished? 
Okay, I’ll play! 80% of my post was personal opinion and the other 20% was indeed conjecture submitted in a joking manner. So, was my personal opinion incorrect? Maybe. In that case, most of the OP was also incorrect. The problem is, we can’t really label opinions or personal feelings/observations as correct or incorrect. Opinions will always differ on every subject, and this is a forum where people (at a base level) can really only offer opinions on the bulk of topics like this.
For example: a player producing a repetitive action and not responding is obviously a bot. This is incorrect. Some people are anti social or don’t GAF about you or anyone else saying hello or asking questions regarding their playstyle. Problem is, no one has to answer general questions or respond to waves or greetings or anything else while they’re playing. There for, it is wholly incorrect to categorize players who don’t respond to your advances as bots.
It is also incorrect to categorize items like exo gleam (which occasionally spawn in single blocks only) as some magical item people shouldn’t be allowed to own in bulk. Further more, your ‘suggestion’ would make hundreds of regen farms defunct and useless. I mean, clearly everyone should be punished because a handful of worthless ass slugs run botting programs, miright?
To close this utterly pointless rant, if you were refering to me having a p!ss about your youtube tutorial or saying the topic reeked of personal feelings, I get it. Those were presented as boorish conjecture and assumption in what was intended to be a joking manner. Otherwise, the rest was opinion. I seldom claim to be correct in any size, shape or form. This, however, does not invalidate my opinions nor yours.
I’ll reiterate: I value you and your opinions @Ovis. I do not agree with your suggestion presented here. That may mean less than shite to anyone who reads this. That does not make my opinions any more ‘correct’ or ‘incorrect’ than yours. 
Therein lies the problem we can both undoubtedly agree on. Nothing should be gained autonomously IMO.
