Unfortunately the tax has been broken for a while, and when I noticed it I fixed it quickly. This puts it back to how it was when first implemented: a tax on buying and selling transactions.

There is however more work to be done on tax: firstly there was feedback about how it is set and how it is communicated, and secondly the tax skills are currently not working as intended.

We will put some more work into this, although I’ll need to check when that work is scheduled.

Great! As long as it’s here to stay I’m happy and can calculate it into my market math. It sure helps to curb the inflation I was predicting and turn it into some nice deflation with the increased drops…

What posts are you referring to?

The ones quoted below. Since there was never anything about it being removed and beacons implied that we should get a part of it I assumed that it should not be applied yet. I assume part of the tax will be distributed back to beacons in the settlement with a future increment?

Did you know that when you sell something in a selling plinth, Boundless government are charging a 10% tax on top of your sell price to a buyer without notifying you.

So, seeing that the tax system is 10% for the moment, I think we need decimals, to clear out the numbers, or at least, make it so at the end of a transaction, the decimals round up to the closest number.

Tax is taken from every shop transaction as a percentage. These are the controls we have to balance the economy with the rates being tweaked to ensure that there is the right amount of currency flowing around.

I’ve looked into this and can confirm it’s working as intended.

I got about 50k in unexplained bonus XP after leveling up. I’ll check when I eventually get another 50+ level up and repost if it recurs.

Sounds similar to the issue experienced by @OmniUno

This looks like it is always smart stacks that gets unassigned when travelling through portals for me. I’m constantly having to reassign my gem hammers and alloy hammers (separate stack) to the quick slots.
