Release 197 - Report issues here

I see that that dead horse has been well kicked.
Post Deleted.

Some of my most frustrating deaths was this bug. I bet I have been set back over 20k exp from this bug alone. Although I would add the the cause of death for me was still “drowning” and not environment. I just kept drowning even though I was surfaced and full of breath.

When you go to sanctum and back this strange drowning debuff is gone.

Yes but by then I am ded.

You can teleport while dying, even drowning in water. I know it’s just workaround, though.

I walked to warp conduit and I got stuck there mine friend too

and then my friend opened the portal i died

This does not fix it every time for me. It is a random. I have gone back and forth through a portal a dozen times and still received the atmosphere bug. Just a heads up.

@Chaan then that deff sounds like a bug! If you’re not hitting settlers achievements from ultima hub then that deff says something.

@SlibboDubz No I got the obejctive, but the settlements tab in places are still empty, Ultima is not showing there. So either the tip i described above is wrong or the settlements tab is broken.

Test it on your own settlement. If it doesnt register for your own stuff, its most likely in the settlements tab; if it works however; its most likely a border identifier issue where its not recognizing the player crossing into another players territory thats classified as a settlement. Its like a person walking into a podunk town in the woods, but the GPS having no clue where you’re at, even though you’re clearly at a waffle house. Weird analogy, but its the best i could come up with lol.

+1 for not getting loot from dormant meteorites. I got loot from the very first one I found (several days ago) and nothing since then.

@Chaan I had this issue. I fixed it by moving around to different locations that bordered settlemnt plots until it registered. It finished the objective and I tore down the beacon and moved it where I wanted it afterwards.

I’ve stated all this in another thread, but I’ll put it here aswell.

I started off on a T0 planet (Sochaltin I) and I find the T1 objective “A Song of Sand and Gravel” to be a bit unbalanced.

It basically implies that the player should dig gravel for gravel and flint and sand for sand and olivine fragments. It sound very starter planet friendly until you realize that olivine fragment probably wont drop.

I’m not yet interested in the olivine fragments beyond getting the objective done, but I want to address this issue. Likely the next objective locked behind this one (if there is any) might be trivial in comparison.

If the drop rates from sand on low tier planets aren’t going to improve, maybe consider dropping olivine fragment from this objective? Or if olivine fragments are kept, maybe update the objective text to reflect the limitation with low tier planets.

not all objectives are meant to be 100% completed at one time. Some like that one are unpinned until the time you are of proper level and skill to go to the next planet and obtain them.

The issue is that the objective does not read like that. Our minds just get focused on how to complete it because it’s telling us to. I have a feeling some of the objective descriptions are going to get edited soon. Or a little more info put in them. I actually had a hard time realizing I finished the tutorial, because I was focused on Complete Objectives in your journal.

But when we get the “Your Journey Now begins”, is the start of us picking and choosing what we want to do. we can now stop some objectives and pick others. Maybe never even finishing some.

I’m 100% aware that not 100% of objectives are meant to be completed at one time. I’ve got a few objectives that aren’t pinned, because they actually gives the impression that you might need a change of environment to complete, like the collect different mushrooms objective.

Not so much with A Song of Sand and Gravel, since it gives the impression that you can dig gravel and expect flint, which is true. Then the objective updates to dig sand and expect olivine, and you can’t trust that it bide by the same rules as the previous task of that objective.

It’s about implications and consistency.

If I over explained, its for the dev’s to see where I was going with the point. Also there are a lot of new players that may not know some of this info that directly ties into the issue. I figured you knew most of that. The point is of course what you just mentioned,

I just made a thread just for objectives where hopefully everyone can get in some detailed helpful comments.

Bomb Epic / Bomb Skill doesn’t increase the damage at all :frowning:

You can mix and match different colour of stones to create Refined Rock. And the actual colour which will be created seems to be completely random… actually I need to do more testing. Because when I mix 200 purple and 88 green stones (bulk 288 stones -> 50 refined rock) it shows me in queue way more times it will be green ones. But there’s another twist is, when its waiting on queue in refinery, it can change colour from purple to green, or from green to purple albeit very rarely (or it may be my mind playing tricks, because how many times i checked it

Update: After putting 200 purple and 88 green stones, it showed mi on queue it will make purple refined rocks, but then it switched to green in the middle, and what I got after it finished was indeed green ones. I really can’t tell what are the rules of it.

When steam friends set up their characters after you have already done so, they will not be added to your friends, wile they will see you as a friend. Put another way:

Player 1 (P1) has setup account through steam before Player 2 (P2), when P2 sets up their account P2 will have P1 in their friend list, but P1 will not have P2 in their friends list.

Perhaps add a button to search for steam friends again?

This also seems to apply to new characters.

A Steam friends search option would be nice.
I skipped it when I made my character thinking I could do it later.
