In case anyone wanted to see the bats’ coloring & placement

They stand up and they seem to face away from you when you place them, but they rotate 180 degrees with chisel.

Remember you can always fidget with this stuff in creative if you are curious. It’s also good for deciding on colors.

My wife has a phobia of insects, but loves bats, so it’s really exciting that our first Halloortween also comes with a crop she can enjoy!

The seeds don’t appear to be colored by the flower you use. I think the color is just the trellis like the spiders? I wasn’t here last year, so I’ve never grown a spider, though.

Yeah, no tint quality

Hmm, well, wood even easier in a way - I’ve got the big Island trees on most of my rentals. I’ll add Black Lustrous to this next experiment, unless you all want something different?

Yeah, just checked the color finder, I see it on a bunch. Ok, I’ll look for another nice dark color that isn’t on the finder to add!

Edit: Night Fuchsia had the fewest planets with the color of the darker ones, and I think it would look good on bats? Changed New Eridu to it, there is a gleam portal at Paka’s Palace, Alcyon, with the big trunk area right under it.

I gasped at the new sanctum. What a gorgeous, spooktacular job, @georgegroeg! I need to explore it more (the house was my favorite bit so far) but spooky orbs were calling my name. I just love this game so much.

At worst, the wood is paintable, though I think painting the trellis is more efficient. I don’t have any paints to test, or I’d check.

Right, didn’t think about that. I mean, I got the rest of my screenshots in this thread from creative, but I didn’t think about painting in creative. Admittedly, I have now painted a total of two blocks, so that’s probably related.

Yes, trellis are directly paintable.
