Would be a great use for the elder
I fully agree
also u should create an avatar since your on this forum more then me
I remember when they came in, but I can’t remember the reasoning >.<
I’d be happy with a simple button to press, y’know just like the quick collect, with no option for the crate/box at all.
If they MUST use that crate model…make us a nice big chest
Done but I’m not on here thaaaattt much.
Would also be nice if we could buy multiple of the same extras at a time. I generally buy 20 cleanse points at a time but have to watch those animations. Kinda annoying
I see, thanks for explaining. Wasn’t clear in original post.
Bwaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha
Shhhh. I’m a new commer
i say remove i never open them and they collect dust in the coffer inventory
just give me stuff instantly
find new way to explain that people can buy plots with qbits and also add note that it is time to use skillpoints wich also i forget to do
with current system
Removing the coffer graphic should have been the immediate course of action when it was met with widespread misinterpretation on day one.
The mere sight of “loot crates” evokes emotional responses before rational ones.
If people are misunderstanding a simple graphic in a significant number on a consistent basis, then they should change that graphic rather than doubling down and trying to tell them they’re wrong one by one.
Wonderstruck was told this in Early Access when they first introduced the coffers, and told it by countless reviews on Steam for the last 6 months, and yet, here they stand.
I don’t get why.
Remove. They add nothing and are confused for loot crates.
I like them. but mostly because I like the animation and the ability to save up a whole bunch of them and see a big pile of coin/xp/cubits show up.
I did make the correlation that, hey i get some kind of lootbox for leveling up and doing things. but I thought this was cool not a negative thing. Granted the only game I have spent a measurable amount of time that has loot boxes in it was overwatch so its not a thing I constantly see.
OW boxes aren’t too bad. IMO BL should follow OW and Fortnite’s lead and only do cosmetic real money transactions. I want to give the devs money but I abhor non cosmetic RMT and don’t want to support the system.
I mean i put my vote on “remove coffers” and here is why.
New players comes into a game.
Sees a box that gives X… at least 7/10 people think “ok here we go… another lootbox p2w game” (in my opinion ofc).
I suggest you could do this with other visuals or even without it … just dont include any kind of box type thing in there.
It so known thing by players that it gives immediate caution alert to the players
I was just thinking about this today actually.
100% in support of removing coffers, much too often does it give the impression that boundless is “Pay to Win” because it has loot boxes, which causes people to leave negative, misleading reviews, and as a result, scaring away potential players who beilieve them.
I do not see how anyone with a brain can confuse these leveling reward animations with loot boxes. If certain players cannot see the difference they will not do well here anyway.
+1 for remove “loot box” looking rewards.
Peasants: We have found a witch! (A witch! a witch!) Burn her burn her!
Peasant 1: We have found a witch, may we burn her?
Vladimir: How do you known she is a witch?
Peasant 2: She looks like one!
Warning: Annoying soap box opinion follows.
There are way to many of us who are proudly unwilling to employ critical thinking. There’s also a growing group of us who measure our self-worth through social media interactions. If you draw big circles around these groups, there’s a massive intersection. This is where we find those who know every box-like graphic is a RNG loot box.
Catering for them feels insane, but as they say in the classics, we are only as good as our weakest link. When there are so many links this close to breaking, logic suggests we need to take care of them to maintain our own sanity.
I think the coffers are fine. They are level rewards & you can’t buy them.
Just because players from other genres of games see a box shape and scream “loot box”! doesn’t make it so. Personally, I like being rewarded for leveling up or completing something. Every game has some type of rewards and chests/boxes.
Why mess with something so trivial? It takes time away from the devs focus adding new content.
Because it’s not trivial. Because countless reviews of boundless claim it has loot boxes and that drives away customers. You get top rated negative reviews that are upvoted 600+ times on the front page of people saying loot boxes.
That’s 600+ people who have been lied to and believed it who might otherwise have tried or bought the game.
