šŸŽØ Rental Planet Colors

On the flipside, they could have gone the Minecraft routeā€¦

Everyone gets green grass and brown timber. Period.

Hey, Vex thatā€™s Minecraft ā€¦
ā€¦ this is Boundless :boundless:
ā€¦ this is completely different
ā€¦ we have multiple colours :+1::grinning:

I like to have some colors that we havenā€™t had yet. But same time I wouldnā€™t like to build in planet that has that color available in natureā€¦

Visiting on this latest cold exo made me remember that to me atmosphere color and effect is more important. Some stuff just donā€™t look most of time good at all with wrong atmosphere color

Maybe those middle model planets where players can customize more things but canā€™t take stuff to public worlds allows larger scale of color options. Maybe ask developers why colors are design to available like this.

ā€¦we arenā€™t stuck with a basic voxel world? Cool :star_struck: That must be part of BLā€™s secret sauce :grin:

Thank you so much for this!!!
Do you happen to know how many exoworlds there has been since the beginning?

But this isnā€™t Minecraft. Part of the reason to play Boundless instead of Minecraft is the vast color paletteā€¦ only we donā€™t have access to the entire palette, making the game not very ā€œBoundlessā€.

Donā€™t have access to the entire palette yet

Folks, I was joking. I canā€™t stand Minecraft anymore.

Can anyone stand Minecraft anymore? Looking at your screenshot made me feel pathetic for even considering playing it again. The only thing I want from Minecraft is redstone. It was one of the few things I was actually good at lol

Sorry, itā€™s quite difficult to tell when someone is serious, joking, angry, sarcastic,. etc on forums.

Likewiseā€¦ my planet is going to be filled with mustards, green grass and foliage, greys, etc. Iā€™ll be happy if mine doesnt even have gleam on it at all.

People seem to be more concerned about renting planets for the colours it will allow them to regen gather and less about what it will actually look like.

So while were at itā€¦ I want the tools to be able to terraform my T6 planet into a solid rock from mantle to alt 255 to make it a perfect diamond/hard coal spawning planet all over. It will double as a hunters paradise being perfectly flat with no surface liquid. Iā€™m going to need another one of these for topazā€¦ oh and I will also need an ocean planet with no underwater lava or altitude variation for my emerald paradise.

Iā€™m also going to need 240 or so planets to give me personal access to every single colour of gleam that isnt permanent + an extra for pale cerulean as thatā€™s a nightmare to regen grind currently. This should cover every colour in every other block also.

Iā€™m going to need to get more jobs to pay the rental on these I think.

Only if you havenā€™t spent enough time on them to get to know MajorVex somewhat. I donā€™t think anyone here would ever seriously advocate that blocks be restricted to single colors.

Not me. Personally I want aesthetic colors that will go great with what I have in mind to build. If those colors arenā€™t available due to RNG thoughā€¦ :slightly_frowning_face:

Same. I donā€™t care about regen farming the colors I want from my planet. I love building and aesthetics are a huge part of it for me too.

I see. Iā€™m not usually a big forum person, but out in the country with no game access and everyone is hungover still, so I have time this weekend  Thanks for the info

Very Much This.

I was just discussing this with @AeneaGames in another channel and colors are like, second or third priority IMO in picking a world to ā€˜settleā€™ on.

They are very important to a lot of people though.

Oh absolutely they are. And for the right reasons thatā€™s a very valid point.

But being upset because you cant get a black gleam planet to regen mine isnt the right reason in my opinion.

Not everyone wants a rental planet for regen purposes. A lot of people want it to build on and couldnā€™t care less if people come harvest stuff from it. I donā€™t see anyone here thatā€™s ā€œupsetā€, just discussing things.

P.S. I hope to see black gleam on an Exo one day, or someoneā€™s rental - not on mine though.
