Well, the last actual piece of added content was the emoji update, right? The entire 2020 year has been marked by QoL and fixes, but not a lot of content. To me, the last REALLY BIG chunky update was the farming update.

I’m not sure how the regions are divided split, but they don’t appear to be equal in size or shape so you could probably get away with any amount
This isn’t comparable. Eve and Albion and WOW by your model allows players to buy a premium item to resale in game for in game currency.
For your analogy to be comparable, Wonderstruck would need to sell gleam club tokens to that could be sold and traded in game. Then your analogy would be perfect but we do not have that scenario here.

I would live a tiny little world I’d be super likely to buy a gleam club bundle with a 4 - 10 region world. More so than any of these sizes when I don’t need that kind of space, or want to budget the real world cost of it and have it sitting idle.
Anyways there’s some fuel for your speculations

Don’t think you can really call emojis content lol. Its definitely a stretch to consider it that for me. Farming was the last major content, although gleambow and adding filigree etc were certainly something to do as filler content…sadly the content gap it was filling is way way to big

I agree kind of like a private island or area like Runescape or Albion Online. “The little prince” style planet. That could be very cool.

So among all the other planet types, the devs host a couple large planets where the regions could be rented individually? 
This might also appeal to the players that only want to rent/manage a small space - not a whole planet. I like the idea.
As mentioned, I think there are some MMOs that have been around for a long time that do real estate this way.

Since EXO is kind of the smallest they offer, I think this is as good as it will get. I did promote once via a thread the ability for people to have their own sanctum level space where they could build a house and have some storage. I’m just not sure what happens as the planets get smaller and smaller in size. I know at one point (if I remember right) that they decided on the size they did because if it was much smaller people would have been able to see themselves in the distance because the planets do wrap around. So they had to make sure that scenario didn’t happen or technically they wouldn’t have to address it.
I think this can kind of be done already with the option where people can now help pay for a planet. It isn’t exactly the same but close… but something like this might be an option in the future.

In river towns all Portals open, you should build your shop here 
My shop is at DK Mall, all portals open there too. It was just in wandering that I noticed a lot of portals are closed at different hubs. Lol.
Most of the folks I play with are on hiatus until we can start on our sov worlds. Thats a couple dozen if not more portals that are down right now.
They do fancy stuff to make those weird numbers work. But fancy stuff is more easily hidden in a larger world, and presumably their tricks wouldn’t work.
I’m glad to see there’s small, tiny and micro world sizes in the files! Maybe my 1 4 and 9 region worlds will be real!

Those are extension lengths. There are only 3 planet sizes in the files.
