I have 3 sets starberry farms set up 1 for each type according to the yield and seed yield info for each starberry seed type
normal starberry near mould and on waxy foliage
glossy starberry near tangle on exotic foliage
juicy starberry near thorns on lush foliage
normal starberries both crop and seed values are in orange with both values being above 100% Yay!
waxy and juicy however very few have +100% values for crop but nearly all have 90% or under for seed despite being near their preferred natural block and sown on their preferred foliage type and not near their “reduced seed yield” wood types.
is there something i am doing wrong or are the seed yield values bugged for glossy and juicy starberries?
Most likely the case, all of these are very finicky about the number of air blocks next to them and the number of their preferred block. Can you post pics of the setup? Or give me some directions and I can come help you work it out
EDIT: This is my setup for juicy starberry crops for max seed output. Lush foliage in the center, 3 thorns behind the leaves 1 block away, 2 on one side and 1 on the other. Clear all other blocks from the immediate area.
as you can see all 3 are setup the same to maximise seed output (especially juicy starberries since they are harder to obtain) each with their desired foliage types and their seed yield increasing mould/tangle/thorn blocks.
I don’t farm and know very little about it(don’t care to know really) but looking at the screenshots of people at or over 100% they have a lot more space between their crops then you do. So that might be your problem?
i’ve rearranged things abit and managed to get the green seed numbers, but why is it so fickle? each starberry variant seems to have reduced tolerance to adjacent blocks than the previous, normal starberry being the most tolerant and allow the most adjacent plantings, whereas juicy starberry is the least tolerant
You are not maximized for Seed production on the Juicy Starberries. 108% I believe is the max. That being said…you setup is good for a middle of the road…get a berry and a high chance to get a seed.
I have mine set at 108%. If I get 2 seeds then I plant another to expand. If not I just replant the seed. The RNG for crop’s being ready is all over the place so it really does not matter plant timing.
EDIT: I saw that you did said you got the seed into the green. I was commenting on your earlier setup.
