Steam Review of new player

I don’t know what people expect out of BL or why they are saying things that aren’t even in the game. Not sure how someone that plays for 5 minutes even notices the menu then finds the “shop” button.

Minecraft had horrible bugs when it first came out. There are tons of DLCs and stuff you can buy. Trove still has horrible lag, but people play it. It has TONS of microtransactions. WoW, RS…tons of MTs.

If I was to make complaints about BL, microtransactions are the last things that would ever come to mind.

A lot of people have knee jerk reactions to any kind of microtransaction , I am sure most of them don’t even take the time to discover the real nature of the situation in this game. It is just the moment they see it they take it to the review board.

You being a more logical person, of course you are not going to complain about it.

As they should. MTs are a plague on the industry.

There are no good MTs, just less bad.

Yes. But at the same time. They should do their homework and figure out if it is the Bad kind of MT or the kind of MT that is more healthy and not just assume.

MT is not always a bad thing if it is executed correctly.

minecraft was also the first of its kind and being made by 1 person no one screams at someone for building a plane wrong when its the first time its been attempted but they are going to yell when you had a perfectly good model to work with and still manage to put the wings in the wrong spot

BL wanted to pull the minecraft crowd while doing eveything that more pulls in the older vet crowd the two dont really mesh what made minecraft stand out is the crafting and mineing was a means to a end not its own game the time it takes me to mine the mats i need to build the parts to build the stuff i need to work on my build i can already have a huge castle in minecraft

I’m not questioning the reviews because they are negative. I agree that negative reviews can provide great feedback.

I edited while you were typing, so I’ll repeat. There are NO good MTs, just less bad.

The game has to have enough hook for people to want to do the research.

I fall into the anti-MT crowd, not that it matters.

By that logic then there is also no good sale either.

What I define as a good or bad is based on, what it is that is being offered, the price, and how the game was designed around it.

This situation is subjective and therefore an opinion, and I simply don’t agree that all MTs are “bad” or “less bad”… it is just the unfortunate nature that more then enough companys have abused MTs by doing it in a very bad way.

Hmm. I started building in BL the same day I started playing & had a large house up & started on my workshop. It takes awhile to get redstone hooked up in MC, time to find a village, time to find diamonds, time to find enchanted books etc. All MMOs have learning curves & are slightly different.

I guess anything goes on steam reviews? This is almost worse than phone app reviews:

Wow. That’s pretty bad

At least there isn’t ASCII art of NSFW content yet.

if i want to replay with someting like “game sucks moveing on” then yea steam is not going to get into a pointless free speech battle by telling people what constitutes a review the ASCII art tho may be agnest ToS and could get removed if a commiuty mod sees it

No one is saying people shouldn’t be allowed to dislike a game or leave a negative review.

yea sorry i ment thats just the way its always been even more so with steam reviews not much you can do then hope the positive outweigh the negative

We can also wait for reviews off that are busy playing met tons off people having fun

If you play the game continuously. Why do any of you care if someone else doesn’t like it. What is going on in here.

I think the devs really need to improve the whole level up thing, so there is no boxes that open
that would help with the micro-transaction complaints.

Maybe I shouldn’t care, but I do because I like playing this game. I’ve played MMOs that have shut down over avoidable issues. I’ve played MMOs that took awhile to get going, and once they did it was great. I’m investing a lot of time and some $$$$ into this game…I would hate to see it shut down over player-retention or new player acquisition issues.

If you leave posts & reviews with incorrect info unanswered, that will surely run people off. I’ve noticed that the devs are starting to respond to some of them though :+1:
