Hey, can we get this same kind of thing but with the Oortian alphabet? Like it could just be the marble with the glyphs carved in!

It makes sense to have it be one step. It already takes compact>refined>machined and might be a bit much to add another after machined. I’d be all for a progression block from machined metals, but I know I am in the minority on the forums. It’ll be annoying for a little bit at transition time to decide what to do with current blocks that I replace, but in the long run I think more people will be happier with the way you have it

Is the old two-color mosaic going away?

I think it would be nice just like deco stone. You get the classic machined metal or any of the others you chose from 3 of them.

Right but when you say roads you appear to mean “plots which are intended by the builder for use as a traveling path”.

This isn’t something that the settlement system can detect, and it’s not the meaning of the “road” designation in the beacon/settlement viewer. There’s been quite a bit of discussion on this.

I believe it’s xaldafax that has proposed a player-designated “road” status usable for people who actually want traveling paths build treated differently from any other “regular” beaconed area. I’m not sure what about this change frustrates you but it’s a fair call that if someone has invested plots and built such a large area, it’s more deserving of a buffer zone than someone who is trying to do the minimum to multiply their reserved area.

As you can see the issue isn’t anything to do with traveling paths.

Thanks I corrected my typo, the rule is “6 plots in 9 adjacent plot columns”.

Nope! It’s still in there

I don’t mean that and I never said that, I updated all my previous posts to clarfy.
By “roads” I mean long thin plot noodles.

My diagram was meant to visualise that it’s not ok to build 1 plot wide thin long plot noodles to game the settlement system, but building them 3 wide is.
Even though it’s exactly the same, just on a different level of magnification.

I also reserved a bit of land around my city this way and when I read about the change my first though was: I’ll just add a few plots here and there to turn everything into a settlement and it’ll be fine.
But then I thought that undermines the whole intention of the change and I might as well trigger some people by pointing that out.

There i go again having to redo my storage😩

But I don’t mind love what i am seeing. Can’t wait.

I agree that they should be able to, since that would actually mean they serve a practical purpose as well as a decorative one!

…Plus I mean, it’d make sense. :joy:
