Hmmm. Technically, any QoL suggestion or improvement could be considered something that only “lazy” or “incompetent” players would ask for. Suggestions by you, me, & Xal included.
It does come off as a bit judgy/mean for him to imply that players are lazy when he doesn’t see eye to eye with their idea/suggestion. ie: At this point in the game, I don’t think the devs should spend time on the settlement suggestion he had (bc of all the issues I think it will cause), but I’d never call him lazy or silly for suggesting it. I can see where it might be a nice QoL improvement to some players - as would the beacon lock suggestion.
There is no reason for anyone to belittle other players. Telling players to just “stop doing that” would be an easy cure for anything that would require the devs’ time/consideration. This is a game. Aka: not the #1 priority in people’s lives. To expect everyone to cross every t and dot every single i, isn’t reasonable. Even the devs make mistakes. Are they therefore “lazy”?

Yeah I don’t hide anything but I get why people wouldn’t want the protection now. But can default off and people that don’t want it don’t need to worry about it unlike the plot ■■■■ that happened

yeah, but I think at this point we should all agree, xaldafax is stubborn, I think he is at this point sick of the forums and the people on it for the very reason of other people never listening to his side of the discussion and attacking him, he then gets a bit stand offish, due to a you push I push mentality I guess. the best thing everyone can do is just listen and calmly debate these ideas, instead of attack back at xald, ask him why he thinks that it is a bad idea, make suggestions that build off of his concerns about the proposed idea, their are better more mature ways to have a discussion with someone that doesn’t result in petty name calling.

I probably wouldn’t use the proposed idea myself but I see the value in it for many ppl.
Just to remind mr of Xalda’s first post. Two wrongs don’t make a right, but you’re also kinda blindly defending xalda.
If xalda had followed your advice mr, none of this would have happened. It doesn’t matter who started it, but I just wanted to remind you of his first post.

in that quote he does have a point though, how hard is it to just change what is in your hands, it doesn’t take long to switch something, but yeah there are still better ways to discuss things, but let us not go back to attacking other people and remain calm and listen to each other.
but let us forget the earlier argument, and start over and rationally debate the idea

It is a good point. But it’s definitely a personal attack. It (and subsequent posts on both sides) could have been made in a manner that recognizes other people are different.
It’s hard to put yourself in others’ shoes.

I haven’t read the comments further down so I’m not sure if it’s been said yet. And a lot of people some how seem to have this issue I’m guessing they have forgotten. But pressing down on the D-Pad(not sure what it is on pc) will put your tools away. Easily done while setting your controller down. Easily done before alt tabbing out of boundless(which is asking for trouble imo if not in a safe spot and weapons in hand)
I have only destroyed part of my build one time and that’s all it took me to make sure I press down before setting my controller down for any reason.
What happens if you press down then trigger? I forget I always just keep grapples our at all times cuz I’m scared.
But I live in the sky so I learned long ago to NEVER run with hammers. It’s like running with steak knives.
I hide my beacons all the time. But I hide them in such a way you have to stand in a certain spot and look in the right area to see a tiny part of it. 
no destroying of blocks needed on my end, nor can anyone see flames or smoke from it. But I get that some may hide them in such a way the have to break the blocks. So maybe it could be added into our places menu and have a toggle when looking at the current beacon we are standing in.
