Testing 245: Sovereign Worlds!

Weird I didn’t see it in release notes and live server isn’t like that.

I’d go on test but I don’t think I have any friends there :rofl:

Is that on Testing? Only on a Sovereign or to everywhere? So if I park an alt on Norkyna, which I have on my friend list, can I then warp for free to this alt?

Then all those extra keys I have come in handy :rofl:

Warping to friends is definitely not supposed to be free, and I dont see that happening when I test it either from in-world or sanctum?

So wrong, my bad lol. We can warp to friends, but we have to pay the coin cost to get there :rofl: :joy:
@Nightstar @AeneaGames @lucadeltodecso

When on the same world, anyway. Or is it like 100c? Maybe I’m miss-remembering things. I probably am! 100c might as well be free imo!

It’s always 100c on same world, just like any other location on same world!

We just tried it and it’s 100c if on the same world. I thought it was free too…have used it to get to a better location on Exos and don’t remember paying anything. At a certain point, I guess 100c is negligible to us :sweat_smile:

Okay, that’s pretty negligible then. And if you own a popular sovereign world where you are having to warp to peoples beacons all the time to settle disputes, 100c is couch money.

For new players tho 100c can be a lot :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Your initial statement assumed you were friends with the beacon owner or had a friend there at the beacon. The ability to warp or cost to warp is irrelevant in this context.

Neither for which really addressed the reason for potentially needing it, but people don’t think it will be an issue so I’m sure t won’t be :slight_smile:

This will all be forgotten when we can ride hypersonic spitters across the landscape :grin:

I mean I was trying to propose an existing solution rather than say you cant, or you shouldn’t because reasons, but if I were running a popular server, I could see myself use exactly that tactic.

Nope, no bugs to report, just @Havok40k saying a dumb.

I understood that. My point was that it’s a not a solution when you don’t know where the beacon is to begin with.

What good is warping to a friend if they don’t know where the beacon is either? Is the solution to be you get everyone to look for it and warp to whomever finds it?

If so ok, that’s fine. Seems crazy, but if that’s what we have to do we will. Or just be ironfisted about beacons and reclaim beacons we can’t find, potentially scarying away would be settlers all because we just wanted to confirm they were sticking to theme builds.

I was just thinking ahead to would be problems if the worlds so in fact become super popular and attract more players to play with.

Sorry I’ll keep ideas out of this thread perhaps it’s be best if was made in to a new thread or nukes

or

I just realized, the beacon control allows us to track the player. I get that warping is heavily frowned upon for whatever reason. How about an option instead on the world control GUI to track the beacon in question before force reclaiming. then there’s no need to warp to anyone at all, and you can still check and make sure builds are sticking to themes. Is there a way you can exploit tracking a beacon? We can track shop plinths so it seems like it would be a possibility.

Now that there is possibility to choose colors again and reset colors to original value. Could there be also cancel button or remember “last saved” color or have saved color profiles?

I think it is now too easy to mess up hand picked palette that might have taken much time with choosing colors.

indeed, if I change a lot of blocks at first, and then want to change just 1 or 2 in the second go, then resetting to default and starting from there is inconvenient

Is that how it currently works? I would think you can just change each one individually from what you currently have it on instead of resetting to default and then changing it. As I don’t have a test planet yet I can’t test and the testing notes don’t say how you do it.

Not 100% sure, but that’s how I got it from what people were saying here: it looks like reset option per payment cycle means resetting to the default colors;
if not, then maybe hitting reset button opens all blocks for change without reversing them to default - in that case I am happy out :sunglasses:

You can change colors again.
It doesn’t reset those to original(default) colors that were when planet was generated.

But now when you enter color changing it has reset all and finalize button without any possibility to go back to colors that has been picked previously. In other words missing Cancel.
