I think @Nightstar might make a separate post about the bridges, but wanted to put a few of my observations here for those engaged in this thread.
-
You can not interact with a bridge you don’t have permissions on (beacon or lock) as would be expected.
-
Bridges can only be opened from survival, and according to my testing with Nightstar, you need worker and engineer permissions to actually open the bridge. Specifically worker to add the token to an existing bridge, and engineer to break the blocks to open it. This will be something to keep in mind for survival portal networks since many portal networks rely on providing a token on the network side and the user opening them on their own side. That method will not work for survival to creative bridges.
-
Adding an advanced lock to the bridge in survival and giving someone perms on it will allow them to add the token and open the bridge, but will not allow them to break the blocks to finalize the process.
-
There is no way to really “trade” the bridge token. The best workaround seems to be a storage unit on the creative world with an advanced lock that the other person can take the token from. Could also do it via beacon or guild perms I would assume.

Due to the “return to where you left survival” aspect of the bridges, and some craziness with portal facing directions, you might need to leave both sides of the survival side bridges open to the world (i.e. don’t block off one side). After passing through several creative portals then going back to survival, I ended up facing a wall on my own bridge to survival with no way to reverse the exit since I did not have perms on the planet I was leaving from.
I am sure there is more… just some notes from my testing.
