Adventuring across 38 Boötesst, now
it’s definitely testing out my parkour and grappling abilities, haha! I found one of the “Moat Mounds” areas you were talking about and took a tour; the mounds almost look like tall, webby flower pots, and there are lots of spikes in the caves underneath the moats (tons of cool waterfalls, as well).

Some biomes definitely seem like they’re more likely to spawn gleam spikes than others. “Water Swamp” and “Toxic Wasteland” both had “Cube Cave” configurations, but I didn’t find any spikes in the caves there (even in the parts where they were exposed to air on the surface). The caves in “Moat Mounds” near the “Water Swamp”/“Toxic Wasteland” areas also seem to be without spikes, while the caves in “Moat Mounds” near “Sheltered Lakes” had many.

Looking at all of what is available on the planet, it seems like it was made to have everything you could possibly want to gather at the T4 level (sponge, thorns, tangle, and more). Very nice! The only thing that appeared to be missing was Ancient Corruption (Edit: Ice and Glacier, as well).

By the way
are the Ghostflowers on your planet part of one of the Flower Fields biomes, or are they included in another biome? I don’t think I’ve seen so many in my entire life! Do want!

While I was exploring, I stumbled across a larger area with lots of lanterns. You can find them at -1406N 1396E Alt: 64 if you’d like to take a peek.

I had a lot of fun exploring. Definitely an interesting planet!

Farm Fields! >:3

Is there a biome that gives ancient corruption?

I know that “Sunken Forest” does. There may be others that I haven’t seen, yet.

Corrupt Trees biome does, but I think its the tree shapes with gleam at the base and some ancient corruption in the design.

isn’t it the one from Norkyna? leafless trees made of corruption and some other blocks (growth?)

omg you visited my planet SQUEEEEEE! :::hops up and down:::
-1406N 1396E z64. thank you
there is some parts that are flat for a good while, if i kept te planet i might play with walling off the dangerous parts for my own sake ;D

and while my first planet had a gazillion biomes selected and i’m attatched to it still but i have no idea if it’s a forever thing—there’s really crazy stuff and biomes i thought had got skipped that i’m finding in a slower wander on the other side of the planet from my base–planet BASH also is the one I made before starting to leave out Graveyard, which I had forgotten is one of my faves
i thought ok ihave more than enough wood, i want to see gatherables and run from meteors now

do you have any idea what Poison Plateau biome has going on? I have The big glacier with a crack iin it biome on BASH but haven’t found ancient corruption – what biomes have ancient corruption that I can get on a T4? I meant to replace BASH with FAUN, not carry two T4w, but I do think I saw gleam spikes on FAUN (BASH has zee globes), I’ll know more while I’m finishing the atlas. The waterfalls really did grab my attention on Boootesst, fall damage and a floating brew might make them softer :D.

There’s still so many biomes I can’t identify when looking at them, or figure out what I’m looking at in smaller pictures (not sure if the map key colors were consistent on the guide?)
wadering around on these panets is making me rilly rilly want to overcome whatever obstacles are in the way of Boundless being the game I end up playing forever because despite missing half my brain I get really good and programmin stuff for the future universe thingamabob. I spose getting into the test environment is the first step

Also I think maybe the diagonal shats only showing up on planets made before there were cave choices might have also been a developer thingie? I let the obsession with them go by reminding myself hey, I have a hammer

The very first sovereign I created is a T6 Chill that’s a hodgepodge of every biome I’d seen and enjoyed over the years (plus a couple of others from the list that looked nice), so I can totally understand the love you have for the first one that you made. Mine is pretty average for most gatherables, as that wasn’t something I was really thinking about when I made it, but I still think it’s lovely. If you want to take a peek at it, you can find a portal to planet “Cordana” at the Portal Seekers Shedu Tier Hub.

“Poison Plateau” includes a number of pools with random blocks of gleam in them on the flat parts of the biome, as well as a number of buttes that can feature either small trees with growth blocks sprinkled throughout the foliage, or large flowers similar to the ones in “Sunflower Field” on top. As far as Ancient Corruption goes, you should be able to get some on a T4 by selecting the “Sunken Forest” biome.

“Pitfall Field” appears to have diagonal shafts, but I believe you would need to roll a T5+ planet to have access to that selection on the Sovereign maker.

This might have been what was used for the T3 that was rolled before chosing caves was an option
bookmarked for reminder after payday ;D

I’ll probably be renrewing my t5 and t6 ech once so I can study what I didn’t and didn’tlike about them, then re-do them. BASH is fueled for anoother month but will be replaced with the current BASH2 which came out sooooo nice, I love hanging out there. I’m finding that biomes I expect to find this or that resource on only does for some tiers but not others, it’s fun to try and figure out what’s going on. Apparently I put giant floating ■■■■■ of rock and sponge on my 2nd attempt at a t5, which I can’t imagine doing but there they are. I’m gettingi nto a nice groove and feeling more slack opening up to go exploring, ill check out your planeta.

What are people’s must have biomes? Mine is surface caves-it’s a water feature biome where water cascades from a higher elevation to a lower elevation. I loves it.

Must have water swamp, the mood picker-upper, and Basket Trees, the woodchopper’s delight. Coral Seas, Mud Flats, Toxic Wasteland (this is reminding me of the NPC naming convention in the game Fallen London), Tree Hills (iirc, giant wood-covered hills with big saucers of leaves on top), Lantern-somthings, and Savannah were my must-haves but they don’t always show up like I expect or sometimes they do and there’s nothing to harvest in them. I’m working on figuring that out, Must have plenty of ice on T5 or above, solid flat ice anywhere I expect to go meteor hunting a bunch (T3). I have a sense of why the biomes don’t work out on some tiers flora-wise, but I need to start writing down where they work and where they don’t. There’s some really gorgeous biomes if you like eye candy and things to climb, Castle Spirals(iirc) and Ancient Structures are pretty groovy looking. I had surface caves but it was on a planet I put way too many biomes on and it came out really mangled.

I missed out on Cordana, reading back for some of your other planets
you asked about the gost flower fields; there’s two levels of flower fields and I picked both, I noticed I dont have the lots of ghost flowers without both. And aha, I recognise that corruption lotudsapple or whatever it is

Gloviathosa twisted dual trees?!?! What biome is this?

ah cool, I recognized snake islands, but thought maybe it was a blended biome with something including the twisted Lustrous and Twisted tree types.

Does anybody know this biome, those little boulders is the thing that throws me

The cake layers look cool too. Dunno what biome it is though.
As for the trees I think Mulariakrib have them, scattered around in pairs, always looking like not bound to any particular biome cause it shows up in weirdest of places. Could never tell what biome it could be connected to.
