Before Jarohdan fell at work and shattered his shoulder in four places, we’d started a little Norse style build. He’s slowly healing, so I have been running around gathering more resources (and flowers lol) to complete the build once he can return
That’s so sweet!

wow, I’ve seen ghost exos before, but this coincidence is so cool
Not really today, the other day, started rebuilding and then RL immediately went NOPE! But there are 3 weeks on the beacon so hopefully before then…
spent some time jumping through portals, and ended up at Bastion, remembering the first time I found this particular place when I was looking for flowers. Through the old Portal Seekers at Bitula into Dragon’s Keep shop portal, and then across planet from there. Now it’s an absolute wonderland of builds to get from here to Dragons Keep, and much easier to get here via the portal from Dragon’s Lair. Makes me smile every time I visit. From memory, I bought my first black desert swords from here.
Today, I opened some old portals on my Trung build (via dragon’s hub) with a view to complete some builds and definitely not start any new ones…
I did that ser, again and again.
Some of my last logins to Boundless, today and all week. It’s time to finally clear the back of the mind and I decided to give my stuff to Mrs. Stargazer. Doing star stuff lol.
I was catching some final momento screenshots and decided to post here. She’s moved, IDK, 18 million + blocks and various deco items, props, etc, and it’s almost to the end now. There were over 8m gleam blocks. Just one reclaim of 6m stones. She told me I have to call it a “collection” not the 'h word" ![]()
I opened this reclaim and I wanted to share these, I’m sure yo can imagine this sitting here nags at me to play but, too many mixed memories for me now. The next to last beacon:
LOL 3.4m items in 5 tiny screenshots. An absolute drool-fest for me of the back room of my old work shop. Star can make all the twinkles I never got to making ![]()
After this it’s “The Ready Room”. Forged tools going back to Crete and Aenea. Bombs, globes, potions, pies, and all the things, stacked up and ready at the Hub, to set out on any boundless adventure.
Or just to grind blocks ![]()
Just one single, probably mid-size old player’s hoard but it’s been exciting to go through it and @MrsStar can move some blocks like a champ. This week alone has been a boatload of work.
So I hope these pics make you drool a little bit, and remember the busy times. If we crossed paths I remember you fondly even if I forgot your name because 95% or more of my boundless experience was actually pleasant. Those of you I got close with, I hope you always stay well.
10k hours in game, years of fun, years of drama, and a couple years of settling down into warm memories. I’m done but happily.
I expect another 2 years of Boundless as at this time it seems likely there’s a 10 year contract in play for PS support. So I’m putting my stuff back in the game, and giving it to someone that has just relentlessly been a positive force since I met her.
By the weekend, it will be done, and I will move into treasuring the memories with no more need to wonder whether I ‘should’ play, wondering how long until my stuff is deleted, and etcetera.
I should have been posting all week
I feel like the forge was also, probably, drool-worthy ![]()
Anyways, it’s been a long time since I rambled here. Other than a very pointed comment a couple weeks ago it’s been years since I posted at all. Those who hit me up in DM and those I’ve missed all together, farewell.
Stay boundless whether you’re playing or not ![]()
EDIT: OOh I got pics after the gear was pulled of the forge:
I forged nothing but thousands of regen bombs and farming tools.
It’s been fun digging through. Mrs. Stargazer is a champ. And I’m super happy to know this stuff is getting back in the game with a chance to be used.
And like I have said before @Nightstar , if there is a day you come back, my stuff is your stuff. Thank you for so much stuff not just for me but also for a chance to finally refill my chests I was low on, and stuff to help people. Thank you so much and I may have cried a few times knowing we are losing another player. But I hope you know you are always welcome and you have always been a part of my boundless heart for 4 years. Thank you even though all this week has been bitter sweet ![]()

Not going to lie. I’m sad to see you go. Like tears running down my face sad. But I understand. I’ve reached my point as well. I’m more sticking around for good friends than anything else.
Chatting, hunting, and fixing the broken stuff we can fix is what I do now. I’ve lost the desire to build.
And you saying all this now, brings to mind another post of yours that saw the writing on the wall and showed it to the people who would listen.
This feels good and correct. A little over-announced but it’s more about the fun I’m having with this than the reasons I quit being active years ago.
I held on long enough for the good memories to outweigh the silly struggles and I’m happy to contribute what I had back to the game. It’s sad that things never got rolling again but sometimes that’s how it is.
I got in game and wandered around a bit. I have some time, and considered playing again but it was honestly a lot of missing how things were and I could tell that, for me, it would just feel a bithollow. I know that several good folks are still here regularly and I could get involved a bit however, it’s always going to be a reminder of that 3-4 year time that I really cherish.
So I choose to get my stuff back in the game. Hundreds of hours of grind and all the machines and gear to support it. Mrs star is a very different player from what I was, I give her my stuff with no obligation but it will probably mean a few more event prizes, etc… since that’s her playstyle. I think anyone that has passed along a beloved digital hoard understands ![]()
@tarranth I left a lot of math and a lot of feelings on these forums, for sure. I skimmed that post at your link, and it’s a strong reminder of the community and the struggle at the time. The sheer amount of positive and negative passion that people invested in to this game and it’s community was amazing and it’s sad there was never a ‘same page’ for either studio and the players.
Even now it gets tempting to point fingers lol. Excepting a few times that the emotional violence reached outside the forums, looking back now I feel a lot more sad than angry about how things happened. But overwhelmingly it’s the good times.
So I choose to stop there and make it ‘official’. Passing along a bunch of reclaims is maybe not as exciting as finding a beacon like the Infiniplexx has burned out but it’s a tradition I’ve had the privilege (and enough stuff) to participate in a with a couple of MMOs now and .. well I’m glad Tiggs didn’t delete me, leaving me to always remember my entire boundless experience as “ending in a huff” and resentinmg the people that drove those feelings.
So while Boundless may no longer serve me, ‘Being Boundless’ will always be a strong emotion, a remember of a time when life was a mess, and I found so much of what I needed here.
In the next couple of days I’ll dig through the last of my stuff. I expect the names on my tools to be a bit of a mind-walk. Much much of Aenea and HOST. I have wonky tools from when Crete was learning the forging system. The globes, all the stuff to gear up and go hard. Well, ‘hard’ for Boundless so maybe that just means thousands of bags off regen bombs ![]()
Ohhh and I’m going to say one thing, that I had completely forgotten and when she pulled them out of a trunk she was like “hunger, what the heck?”.. She has a little worry about harassment but also, Mrs Stargazer now has a nearly full bag of hunger bombs ![]()
Anyways, thanks @tarranth for the kind words and the memories. Thanks all of you for the memories, and the journey. Me ‘quitting’ will change absolutely nothing in game but considering the depth of my involvement here, it’s a meaningful turning point for me. I appreciate that it might matter to some others as well.
It’s as positive as such a thing can be ![]()
Here Have a
…

glad I got to say goodbye in game. Thank you for the help you’ve given over the years
@Eneitgranny I mentioned later to Star about visiting a bit in the past and trying to convince you to accompany me a bit uplevel. Or, to accept accompaniment as it were ![]()
Yes i was glad to cross paths. I was glad to see you there taking something simple that would be put to it’s intended use instead of minted. And I had a great laugh when I asked her what you were after and she said that she was basically pushing it on you.
A lovely addition to the last of my boundless memories, and a good start to the stage of “fond remembrance”. ![]()
At the end, I grabbed an amazing pair of grapples and my old loot-axe. Kept a small amount of food and drink in case I ever get the urge to wander around a bit, and said goodbye to it all.

The only game I ever bought on Steam.

Incredibly well spent.

Usually when I’m on the scary planets it’s head down, and hurrying through to get back to safety asap before I get to see any red dots. One exception is when I am able to safely view a garden. I do like gardens ![]()
@Nightstar
im sad seeing you moving away
but
there is so many good games waiting to be playing ![]()
