All the goals we met back during early development. All the plans and ideas, the gear, the titans, the game is nothing like what I was sold on.
Not saying the game is bad, maybe all this is still in the works? What is the plan? is the game in maintenance mode ?
Bringing out player paid worlds is cool and all but, why, for what? There hasnāt been any new game loop, or major content that changed the way the game is playedā¦ in years? maybe I am missing something.
Iām not trying to ā ā ā ā on the game or anyone who enjoys it but what is going on with the game now? Should i just not expect to ever see gear, or weapons, or any of the RPG elements we were promised?
There has been many updates but Its impossible to please everyone.
Some stuff required devs to implement systems that did not add anything new in regards of content, but they were needed to avoid more conflict between players and to bring rental worlds which were highly requestes by players.
Now that those things are coming out I think we may be getting more content soon, but then again not every update will be pleasant to all.
eh, iām sure itās mostely tied to lack of funding. Itās kinda sad, but it makes sense as to why they have gone for monitization with a cash shop, now renting planets. As well as low cost low investment updates.
I am happy they keep chugging along, I just think if somehow they could pull a new system out of their butts it would help them more in the long run. Adding another gameplay loop would make it more marketable to new players.
Right now I canāt bring myself to play most of the time because i can never figure out what to do. If i want to build a fort i can do that in minecraft offline, with significantly less grind, more freedom (no plots), and it can be modded.
I hope things work out for the game but unless they magically get way more sales, or give people a reason to buy, not much is going to change.
I wish the cash shop was a true cash shop. Truth be told, cubits are easy to earn therefore itās unlikely that the majority of players will actually pay irl money for them. Iām all for a really cool cosmetic cash shop. I spent hundreds of pounds in Black Desert on costumes for my character and my horse, a cool wagon, furniture, accessories etc. I wish they had this.
