Your concepts are an intriguing start of an idea… but I see a lot of issues in you implementing it under the current game mechanics without a lot of headaches…

The reality is is that once you hand a plot over you lose complete control of the situation…and on the opposite side many players will not want to enter a “relationship” where you think you can try and control even the design of their shops…
I just think while your ideas are interesting they are also (under the current game mechanics) not ready for Prime Time… I fear at the end of the players will be frustrated…you will be frustrated…or both.
I think this will work for starter players. We’re going to try something like this myself at the new player center soon!
if only the devs could introduce some mechanics to help allow this down the road would be great
