What is the point of reaching out to Turbulenz and the Developers

I forgot about the Fist – thank you. That might have been it and honestly no longer remember because all of those perks were all messed up. Ultimately, I’m not thrilled some things were not delivered that were listed and have radio silence… but right now I’m more focused on game world survival at this point.

But then can there be titles we can earn in game also (Q.Q)

That’s the point. What company refuses to answer a customer that they are wrong and screwed up? But like any annoying fly, any problem will go away if you just ignore it. My position here is to expose the lies, the empty promises, and hopefully people learn from this. So in essence the community and developers pushed me away…though I gave back more than I gained…

Gave away over 5 million coin. Handed over 1 pioneer game key and 2 regular game keys, donated countless oort, supplied alutech’s market for a while, and yet I have zero respect in this community. I don’t want to count the planets generated for the T6 Gem/metal farming hub…

Well I think you have plenty of respect … I respect you and really any player that has invested the amount of time you have not to mention the money spent. You helped fund and make the game what it is and I respect you for that and I also respect your opinion.

As I mentioned to you in private, I am very sorry to hear you are leaving for good and if it were in my power I would do everything I could to keep you around. I do understand where you are coming from and hope you don’t feel as though you aren’t respected as I have plenty for ya.\

Edit: We might want to talk about this 5mil coin :stuck_out_tongue:

Some interesting reading to be sure.

Hopefully developers learn to add disclaimers that plans change and some rewards may not happen, and hopefully include information on how that will be made right.

In my opinion, you must have been under-informed about the risks of backing a project before release. Having gone back and looked at the page, I decided that my opinion is that burden should be on the devs to notify.

By the time the Boundless tiers were up, I had learned enough about early backer programs to know I wasn’t ready to buy in to promises - but that doesn’t mean an average person would know that.

to be fair they did not state when they add those perks so there still no wrong doing if they still do them

I guess you didn’t hear that the game is just like completely dead with no devs and uh I’m not sure since there is no hard evidence about that.

(O.O) 5 mil Coin (O.O)

I dunno does it help but could you possibly contact square enix collective about it… Sure its not their Job To write you back but i think In this case any shot can matter

I would mine for 2.5+ hours at a time on the guild soveriegn farm. At times I would make 350K+ coin each run. So buy hammers, food, potions and well smash away. Thats all I did in the game and made decent coin. Now I am down to 36k after shelling out over a million coin for the Twisted Dragons Competition. Was hoping to make it back but realized that the amount farmed vs amount needed wasn’t worth it anymore.

You are not 100% incorrect. It was my first early backer purchase that changed the rewards after the fact. The Others (Pathfinder Online, Shards Online) pretty much told the backers why things were changed and what was going away or put in its place. Oort Online/Boundless didn’t do that…

Thats exactly what I had hoped for.

I’d definitely be a supporter of you earning some titles. You’ve been a voice of good advice since I started playing 2 years ago.

Im guessing the backer wearable was some form of armor that is in all the screenshots but then later removed because they caused lag and the devs were unable to or just didnt care to optimize them so people could wear anything other than a diaper.

I would say you should make sure to change your review on steam but it wont matter.

Steam change the algorithm for reviews so anyone that received a game for free (ie using a key and not purchased from steam directly) wont have any impact on the actual steam review score. People can see the review but the positive/negative feedback has no weight. I recently found this out in another game i play while talking to the developer.

basically anyone that backed boundless when it was called oort online before it was steam greenlit, your review does not matter, it has zero weight on the scores, you had to buy the game directly from steam for those to count.

I appreciate the sentiment, but unfortunately I have hardly even played the game in months now and with upcoming releases I doubt that I will again. I get more joy from this game outside of the game now. Maybe I will bump into some of this community in upcoming new releases

If Starbase (Steam EA released today) is any good, we might meet there~
On topic, there is no point reaching out to Turbulenz from what I gather it’s pretty much disbanded, and if I am wrong at least you should not expect some miracuolous Boundless revival this decade.

Yeah, that’s what a friend of mine is pushing for me to try is the up and coming Starbase. Looks like fun!
I’ve offered to buy Boundless for friends to get them to join. None of them want to. They’d rather stick with minecraft at this point…

Starbase was a bit more expensive than I hoped so I am holding off. Plus too busy in New World and plans to play Orcs Must Die 3 with the gf… But anything we can do to help keep our community together will at least help revive things when updates show here.

Yeah, 2 friends have joined New World. I’m thinking about it.
Honestly, I doubt we’ll see anything new for Boundless until BG3 is done. And I don’t expect that to happen until 4th Quarter 2022. So at least another 14-17 months before Boundless will see any changes. I wonder if anyone but newbies will still be here by then…
