What is the tier of tools?

So I know that the tier is as follows,

Wood
Stone
Copper
Iron
Silver
Gold

And then I have a big doubt about the remaining order which I believe is:

Titanium
Gems (Ruby, Amethyst, Saphire, Topaz, etc) With no order in between them
Diamond

So just to do some testing, I went to Epsilo to kill some creatures, fully loaded the diamond, got 7200 damage, fully loaded the ruby one, 7200 damage, put the ammo plus damage (the light blue thing on there) got 7200 damage with both again. Did the copper with no ammo plus damage, got 3600, with the plus damage it did 7200. Hoped to find the order by myself with this simple test, but it didn’t solve my questions.

And BTW, is there any difference, apart from the colors and names, to the different gem tools? Like is there a ranking among tools? I know the different gem grappling hooks, produce different results.

Diamond is also a gem level tool. No durability or damage difference.

Titanium is not better than gems tools? They’re much harder to produce

Titanium can be found on all planets though. Gems are only found on a select few. The titanium alloy recipe could probably use some balancing though.
