I think one Problem of the game is to much farming/grinding and the plotting System. As a new Player you get plots to slow and u r overwhelmed from all the mats. Another Problem is the portal cost. A Big farming issue here. They should raise the primary portal cost for opening and remove the cost over Time. That would help alot.

The diversity of colors is in the one Hand Interesting in the other Hand Quite to much to handle. U Need alot of Time to sort and arrange ur stuff and even Decide which color u will use.

Another point is this game is nothing for casual gaming. I have the feeling you have to play alot to do something Interesting. U need so much Time for Crafting and farming that, if u just wanna play one hour a day or so cant reach a good point - See the portal issue as well - so u play Too much and will Maybe get some kind of ingame burnout :joy: or just loose real life social contacts, nur i Think its a normal mmo Problem.

Another Player focus Problem is that the Community still is to diverse. Everyone wants to create his own hub, Shop, even mall etc. What leads to a chaotic portal System. There is no reason in having more then one mall, hub imho.

Just some thoughts of a noname Player

who should be allowed to own the one mall or hub?

The Community. There is no who, just we =) this question is exactly the Problem.

Having to much money and everything I need… the events bring me back to the game though :ok_hand:t3:

I agree with the sentiment of this to an extent but everything in this game - including the concept of malls and hubs - was created by players. They’re creations just like cities and monuments built by everyone. It would be a huge shift for the game if these creations were taken and given to the community.

One great opportunity to Stop all this oort farming and Running around for whatever you want to buy.
Would spare a lot of time for EVERYONE.
Even thinking about more price control. I mean why the hell does this inky leaf cost nearly 30coins per piece? Er should definately Need a better price System as well. If we would lower EVERY item 50% price cost it would be Quite easier for new players to have Fun. This a win win because the ppl later in the game can also buy their stuff cheaper. We have to realize, that we Make the prices. Ppl like i Think @JaceyLive could easily Attack the whole Market with their Coins xD buying everything in Charge and if more ppl of this would cooperate they could buy everything and start a new price System. Everything would be possible if we work together. And this Community is Not huge! So the Chance that someone would interrupt isnt high. Just some thoughts…

PS: i heared that only one Person is still trying to Hold the whole Ultima hub in Charge. Thats crazy ! We should definately so something befor he burns out

There aren’t as many players as I’d like to see. I have no idea how or why this is the case. It’s a great game and it should be on fire, but there are so very few players in it. There is more than enough room to support a larger player base.

Ehhhhh I would argue the prices are heavily controlled by the devs who set the drop rates. I see what you mean, but if they doubled the drop rate of inky leaves, presumably the price would decrease.

Anywho I think creative mode will change people’s minds. It should take effort to collect stuff, but I think it’s too challenging for the average user to make something amazing. When tons of people flock to creative mode, people will want the main game to be made less grindy in hopes of winning some of them back.

Do I enjoy the game as it is? Sure! But it would be fun with more cool buildings from newer players.

Yes, anything would have a ripple effect. That’s why it’s good that they aren’t doing that.

If you want double drops, max your luck skill :woman_shrugging:

no one is stopping you from doing that. Open your shop and go for it. I’ll be your #1 customer

portals are an end-game feature, they were not mean’t for new players to build, you don’t have to make portals to travel to other worlds, bookmark a central portal hub such as Lamblis and use warp portals to get to them, from there use the already built portals to get around.

more malls and shops means better competition, a wider availability of items especially those that are available in multiple colours (think 3 colours of wood, rock and 1 colour of the other materials except metals and corruption per world) with some being difficult for newer players to obtain.

Also having just one mall would make it difficult for players in other regions to access, e.g there regions i get the worst connections is US-west and AUS worlds, whereas EU and US-East are fine.

There is an expectation from the Devs that a normal person can run 1 1x2 portal to a hub and the game should support that. Anything beyond that is end-game or group based work…

I thought this thread was meant as an opinion thread and not for disputing people’s posts?

Lol @ my hypocrisy

Why is this still here? Waaaaah

Personally I think its a brilliant way for the devs to cut down on all the threads complaining about the game. A venting thread as it were. I’m sure they also get some feedback from it too.

Don’t know if this has been said but one of the main reasons is that some to most base items don’t get gathered/farmed as much any more. So prices go up. Used to buy them up in masses 6 months ago and not sell them for weeks. After the move i sold most of my stock to other shops (probably at a loss). In the meantime price went up because of additional crafts that needs that item.

Only way to get the price lowered is to gather/farm/mine base items and selling them cheaper your self or to shops in mass quantities. And keep up the demand. But most switch over to other items when prices drop.

As for hubs think its fair to say “community support” for all of them. All they need to do is give a shout and peeps respond to help out.
