Basically James just deplotted thousands of plots for mall roads and expansion. Thousands. It took me hundreds of hours to build and plot all that. The majority of the plots were from way before compactness was even created.
He could easily have contacted me and I could have plotted all plots between the roads. Or I could have deplotted some. In any case these plots have been there for a full year or so (they go back to a few months before compactness was even mentioned).
I don’t play much anymore anyway, and being treated worse than Krasniy (at least there was discussion before and after mass deplotting with him) without an apology makes me just never want to play again. I’m not willing to spend hundreds of hours redoing my work. And I’m not willing to spend my time on a game run like that. I replied to James asking for an explanation and was ignored. It’s been 5 days now; I guess I’m being sent a message by James, and that message has been received.
Edit: Were there a bunch of noncompliant beacons? Sure, but I honestly wasn’t aware it was an issue. I would have fixed if given notice. My whole point here is the devs shouldn’t be doing massive deletions without notice unless it’s swastikas or pornography IMO.
It’s been fun knowing you guys. I’m going to find a good new owner for the mall first. I’ll drop in occasionally to say hi.

Compactness is where you have to fill in around roads. If it’s low for long enough the devs can and will get pinged and they will reclaim it.

The leadership of this game is the real disappointment here, but my opinion on that hasn’t changed in quite some time so I won’t beat that horse…
Hopefully we’ll find something new to scratch the itch that this game once did…

I’m going to be frank here… but what the actual hell. This really bothers me as I have been very active in DK Mall as of late just trying to handle some of the empty plots and building on some of them in an effort to make the mall better. I have actively sought out new owners for plots and had numerous contact me about plots I own that I gladly give to them to help the mall grow. It was the first mall I visited and remains my mall of choice. This really just … I’m speechless … and I am very sorry @DKPuncherello

How was I treated, exactly? I was told to reconfigure the mall & adjust - which I did as soon as the update went live. I used my own plots to widen the roads to come into compliance. I also put up a huge resistance on the forum for the new compactness system. I still don’t like the system. I haven’t rec’d any plots, money, cubits, or anything. I had to ask for help trading a few shops due to the reservation system, as many people have had to do. Edit to clarify: I am referring to compactness. I def needed help from James & Leah when I had issues with moving some plots, griefing, and when I accidentally deleted the master beacon.

See, that’s the difference. I would have been happy to adjust. I have 30,000 spare plots. But James just straight reclaimed everything without even a message. I feel I deserved better.
