Well that’s pretty crazy. Sorry to see you go.
No what I meant is I know you and the devs worked together to figure out the plot stuff so this didn’t happen. That is all i meant I didn’t mean to imply an special treatment sorry should have been more clear. <3
It’s ok. More time to spend with the puppy!
This is insane and not a good thing for new players to hear that a dev can just come reclaim plots.
Z
Exactly; I didn’t expect special treatment, just a warning and at least a day to fix it.
Unstable Connection
Sorry DK. That really does suck. I would have a hard time staying too
Please don’t go begging for handouts. This is a major blow yet again with us losing another very well respected, highly-contributing member of the community. The amount of work to keep the mall going and adding the expansion that took MANY hours…and days, the plots and I am sure the actual monetary value spent on it.
Pretty bad way to handle something like this …
Think Jaidic-chan be a good candidate to keep your legacy going @Jaidic dk-chan (Q.Q)
I misunderstood then, no worries
No, really - we didn’t work together on the compactness issue at all. I still don’t like it. When they added it, they said they wouldn’t take action for awhile if our places weren’t in compliance, to give us time to adjust. When it went live, I saw that my beacon wasn’t compact and I kept adding plots until it was.
@DKPuncherello Unless there is griefing involved, I would image they would have sent you a message or a warning 1st
At first glance, yes but not the place to discuss this
You would think that yea.
Didn’t you get a warning or some sign in game when you looked at your beacon list saying that a beacon was not compact?
That could be considered as a warning, from a dev’s point of view
Warning or no warning I would think it was obvious that someone put a lot of time and effort into something and as a developer myself I think I would wait until I got a reply or at least gave a suitable amount of time to give time for a response prior to reclaiming such a large area. I am unsure what exactly it was hurting … but with something as large as the mall and as popular as it is the last thing I’d do as a dev is remove something without proper time for a response or time to correct the issue.
Did they by chance specify whether it was due to negative compactness for too long or circumventing the system with beacons?
It states that in the message from @james to @DKPuncherello post at the top.
I could have sworn when compactness ws introduced it was promised that the person would be worked witth
