I had some memory of that somewhere I just confused it with vex. Sad they are not working with major players. At this rate they are going to end up opening themselves up to competition if they keep this up.
I mean it is kind of annoying that there is time for this but I have messaged several times about starting the process to get an api key and all I get is crickets.
Due to circumventing. However, the circumventing is pure chance, the mall has been plotted “each row it’s own beacon” for at least a year and a half, at least 6 months prior to compactness being introduced, so that I can give the rows useful names like “Row A shops A1 to A100”. And I easily have the plots to fill all blank spots, just not the time.
Anyway, since I suppose it is relevant, this came on the heels of me asking for help with a griefer who had claimed all available spots in the mall. Like 150 plots in 4 different areas. I was getting 1-2 messages a week from noobs looking for spots. Not only did he not help, he came on the next day and reclaimed all mall expansion areas without any warning. Like “how dare you waste my time” or “this is what you get for pushing for comms from the devs on the forums”.
So just beware all. Maybe it’s coincidence…
I wonder if this also gives a clue to the question of if the planned cubit nerf is deliberate or just mathematical convenience as well…
To me the biggest question is: there appears to be no real development on boundless anyway. So why would he even bother?

Communication or not, at this point in the game’s life – this can’t realistically be recieved in too many ways – aside from a huge slap in the face.

It’s awful that you lost so much work, and it’s totally understandable that you’d want to leave after something like this. You will definitely be missed. 
I’ve always liked how organized the shopping areas were at your mall, as well as all of the nice decorative plants, trees, and interesting pathways. It’s such a unique and useful place, and I hope that what remains can be saved.

Whoa, that’s ridiculous. I kinda understand if they’d do that to the “nature reserve” area that I had to face a short time after I started playing (thousands of plots plotted with nothing inside) but force reclaiming the roads of the DK Mall which is used by a large chunk of the playerbase? Wow.
Also being busy building I didn’t have a chance to look yet. Did it just affect outer roads or any road which partially connect shops as well because of the way how the plot layout for your roads is designed?
Really sorry to see this happen to you, DK. I love your mall. It’s so convenient to find stuff I’m looking for.
It would be good if James could have communicated with you beforehand. It doesn’t seem like the best way to run a business and is disappointing.
Sadly I have also had this experience back on trust I fell out with aenea for a little while. James came along and deplotted my shop and chucked it all in storage in my home beacon. Not sorted, organising or even tidy. Just a 20x6 pile of over 1m blocks.
Again, as you say DK, No communication no questions to establish what options or if I could do it. Nope, nothing. Just log in and boom.

You were one of the first people I met in game. And your mall is a true pillar of the universe. It’s really a shame how this went down.
I’d offer to help, but I don’t have nearly enough plots to save everything. And I don’t think I can maintain a mall. I might be able to donate some beacon fuel if you just want to fuel everything for a year and take a break.
Either way - you’ll be missed.
