sure it does.
We had 57 players on Finata alone yesterday, which was before official release. I think it’s safe to assume numbers will increase, but it might not go super fast, with how little PR has been done prior to release.
But once the word spreads about what this game is, it will surely catch on like wildfire!

The game hasn’t been available on Steam to new players since the new universe went live, so you won’t see a change in Steam concurrent players until the game releases later today.
The numbers in the OP only reflect Steam players, and don’t include the PS4 pre-order players since Friday.
There is already so many people coming in daily. Never helped so many new people in the game before. Awesome. Game will keep growing. All those ps4 players are going to tell their friends and family. And they will say, "You gotta try this new game, it’s on ps4 and pc, so you have no excuse not to!"
