Ah, gotcha! I don’t think white wood of any sort is an option, if so I’ll take it on the next test… I’ve seen it on exos a good bit though, at least white twisted wood, don’t think I’ve seen white ancient yet.
I’m hoping I might get very lucky and unlock the white sedimentary rock. Almost all my tests have been T6 gems, which are the ones that have a chance to get it. If I or another get it, I’ll put it on a T1 so people can quarry it.
Here is a Blast build that should get you SOME good diamond hotspot.
Once again, no rivers, Standard Caves 1 on all. Mined the big hotspot here some and it was great, and didn’t see lava, though wasn’t in there a really long time.
Basically, the lv 8 biome here, Olympus, is going to give you the best spots. Floating mountain is good too. With the large spots you should get, can probably sacrifice some of the others if you want some good building and collecting land. Personally, I’m going to go ahead and swap in Gleam Lake next roll - I want to try for this build on Alcyon, and keeping long-term if I get a good one, nice to have an extra gleam farm.
These are the two I just rolled. Will update with resource totals once they have been spawned. Looking back, I probably should have thrown in the snowy redwoods for stardrops but I’m hoping that ice levels surprises me. Wanted to document these biomes before I forget them. Completey unaware of what my saph world was.
Emerald:
4 sponge swamp
4 Gleam Lake
5 Ocean
5 Beaches
5 Icebergs
6 Coral
6 Clam Ocean
6 Island Trees
6 Ice Spikes
6 Desert Overhangs
7 Floating Island Paradise
7 Nests
7 Mouldy Sea
8 Growth field
Will update the Emerald one in a bit but overall not really ecstatic with how the RNG went. Definitely won’t use some of these biomes in the future. Angular mountains really messed with the biome generations more than I thought it would. And the gleam rain biome has all the rocks in the sky but so far not a single piece of gleam in it lol. Glad I did the gleamball biome just in case. The gleam spiral turned out nice.
The worlds as far as aesthetics though, it’s a fun biome selection. It feels like the more fun you make the world, the bigger impact it has on resources. But that’s just a feeling. Nothing to back that up with.
My most recent planet, Hyrule, a Blast, came out a lot better than the previous template I posted despite removing some high elevation biomes… 600k diamonds, and it LOOKS cooler too. And it can give you some rubies too, though not too many, as Graveyard for whatever reason gives decent spots for them. Biomes like Maze 2 really look cool in the valleys. I didn’t jot it down but I’m pretty sure I’m remembering this right-
@bucfanpaka, this took yours and changed a tiny thing or two and it came out a bit denser overall I think. I haven’t mapped but one zone yet. I’ll definitely be letting the other blast I had expire and keeping this one. It’s off Alcyon as well.
Blast
4 gleam lake
4 mountains
5 jungle cliffs
5 floating mountains
5 Colorful Mountain
6 island trees
6 gleam cavern
6 flat top
6 desert overhangs
6 Mountain Roads
7 Dark Field
7 Palace Mountain
7 Grand Gorge
8 Olympus
On my next experiment, going to try to get some caves for combustion and glow cap collecting like in this one - Tamakatos Just unsure on the type of world I’ll do and if I’ll try more or less for gems as well. My next one might be a total flop all around, haha… but it is still fun!
Standing River is probably my favorite Biome for lava layer planets. Absolutely empty space except for mile high rivers reaching across lava at the bottom and forming a bunch of rock? where the water hits the lava providing pathways to run straight across the lava.
I’m not sure which biome it is but it’s providing large ash islands with the weeping wax caps spawning along with perch? I think I dont remember Might have been trumpets…
The way I have been getting it is:
you need to be joined to the Portal Seekers discord channel.
Set your world settings to public.
Wait 15 to 30 minutes (30 if you’re unlucky) for the servers to talk to each other as I understand it, and then the discord bot will supply the information.
Im super curious. i loved the caves on Tamakatos & Vaykaska. they are alive and still going btw. wish i knew what that cave biome was. i dont know how he got foliage and layered caves in the same one…
I’ll try to get some more up today! I’ll put the T5 ones at the hub just to avoid confusion. I really like the latest batch of T5s - the Burn in particular came out REALLY well. Biome selection for 5s really works well than 6s for it, and by adding in Salt Flats at lv. 3, it caused a merge with Lantern Field and Gleam Spiral to create a huge, excellent hunting ground in one spot.
Also, if you do a T5 or 6 Chill, you HAVE to add in Maze. It not only creates a perfect mining area, but ideal Stardrop gathering spot.
The ones I have on my PS account will probably be later in the day, others I can probably do earlier.
OT, but for those using my planets, probably won’t be around for a week or possibly more after next Monday. I say “probably” because there was a mess-up with some legal paperwork, causing a delay to where I still don’t know if I can travel for what I need (handling my mom’s estate), might be the week after… fyi, legal paperwork completely stinks. Anyways, I’ll try to get the portals all topped completely off right before I leave, and the keeper rentals all have a lot of time on them right now.
Ok, got a few more atlases up! Unfortunately, Relthu is one of the ones I did on my PS character, so that one will probably be some time this evening.
Edit: Four Relthu atlases up! A few others too.
Better hurry though if interested… all but two that I put up earlier are gone already!
If it starts looking more (as it does this afternoon since I haven’t heard anything back yet) that my travel will be delayed, might try a pure ruby T5 roll and post the build if I can top that last one.
Thank you so much!! Feedback on them like this really makes my day.
I love this community so much, some of the finest people I’ve ever met here, and made friends who - along with the escape that the game itself provides - have truly helped and comforted me through some really rough times. I am so glad I can give back to you all in this way.
(OT, but just finished up with some good IRL Ruby mining! )
@bucfanpaka should have the forum title of World Baron(ess) or something for simply knowing about everything about how to optimize worlds to get what you want (beautiful terrain, a private ruby planet, etc.
