so? what is the game breaking difference between me and u that u cant farm for spitter eyes?
As noted previously, this is not a minor recipe change by any means.
I have 334 hrs in the game since Sept 11th. I hunt meteors solo on T4 and T5 worlds. I’ve killed god knows how many critters. I have 0 Spitter eyes. So, like sand on a beach huh? I want to visit whatever beach you’re standing on.

Please read the post earlier, this has all been explained. The time it takes to farm ingredients for boon 1 and boon 2 are an order of magnitude, or 2, harder than it is to farm them for boon 3. This only hurts low-mid and mid tier players.

So why are some players getting spitter eyes and some aren’t?? What is going on here?
i just used to spitter eyes to mass craft unstable compound 4 times, then they change recipes and i got stacks of unwanted pure boons. Yes like sand in the beach… im not even really angry about the loss.
Because it is anyway more effective to forge using only few pure boon compounds while using the others too
btw u didnt mention what luck do u have? drop rate of eyes is heavily dependent on this
I’ve got over a hundred splitter eyes and I don’t hunt that much. lol. It’s mostly an overreaction from certain people.

Because this is a mmo. Progression is a big part of it. It made no sense that the best ingredients were the easiest to craft, so people would only craft the pure boon compounds and Draining boon compounds and ignore the other 75% of forge recipes.
Now you can still make decent gear, even if you get some minor defect or quirk (which doesn’t ruin an item, even if it makes it more annoying) and for those who either can afford to make the best gear or are skillful enough to use the counters they can have pride in the gear they make.
I do know there are also problems with it, and like I said I’m holding most of my judgment until later, but I can see the reasons for the changes. I do wish they had been addressed before release though.
I’ve gotten 287 spitter eyes over the course of hours of hunting over the course of 3 weeks.
You should probably get in to some of that fine math you’re great at. I’ve enjoyed a lot of your posts. They generally deal in facts and numbers. You’re either doing something wildly special or have not counted when/how you have gotten your drops.
Edit: they are much rarer than they should be considering the rate at which we get wild stock eyes. I guess we’ll seen those nerfed instead of spitter adjusted however.
This is false. The best boon compound in the game requires shimmering orbs, which are far more easy in comparison to spitter eyes.

Like I said. They are clobbering the low-mid to mid tier players. Not a problem for those with money, or access to the EA exploits.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much. There are elements on this forum that won’t be happy until it takes power and mats from T6 worlds to refine wood. There is productive discussion to be had with people that aren’t set into the “I’m end game, everything should be for me and only me” mentality.

shimmering orbs are used much more by bonding agents, so they are actually rarer for the use of compounds. plus u can only get them on t5+ and spitter eyes drop (rarely but they do) on lower lvl worlds
More used does not equal more rare. It means more expensive in certain cases (but not in this case).
If you go out and farm a stack of eyes, I will go out and farm a stack of orbs, then I’ll have dinner with my wife, go to the library, read a book, mow my lawn, and go check out the latest movie. Then you will have half a stack.

Which one are you referring to? Pure boon compound 3 also requires (or did) shimmering orbs.
They’re on T4 too.
sry yea, i jumped from t3 directly to t5 so i dont know much about t4 worlds

I can only say, I hunt on 5&6 exclusively, odd time i’ll do a meteor if i remembered my healing brews. They drop quite often for me.
