Compendium of Sovereign World Concerns, Questions, and Answers

Nope, there’s no limit to rental worlds, there’s a limit to how many are being shown from another planet

11, 12 and more planets will probably be shown as a distant star

Every rental orbits one public world, needs to be accessible at all times, if it orbits a rental that goes poof it can’t be warped to with a warp augment

They were supposed to be public worlds, so not creative mode ones, BUT it sounded like one should then be able to change every single detail with world builder about it’s looks…
Which won’t be possible yet I am assuming in the first iteration of sovereign worlds

Yes, I don’t think Sovereign worlds will provide the level of customization that was promised. So I think backers will need to use the creative world customization tools/features, then the devs will need to manually put them in the public universe.

everything is fine

Actually I had not thought about this, but can you imagine a player that does not have the skills to create a portal renting a planet? If they ran out of coin, they could literally not be able to get to their own world. Of course even if they could create a portal and if they ran out of coin and their portal fuel ran out, they would be in the same situation. Unable to reach a planet they were paying for.

That’s one reason I was hoping it would come with one 1x2 perm portal. Meh.

Well its not like the market for Oort is going to collapse if you did get one perm portal with your rental.

Thanks for this @Clexarews, nice job.

Can we definitely do Halloween atmosphere? Would that include sounds and all that too?

I’m pretty sure we can do that. The world control seems to work like beacon control, where you can change whitelist perms at any time, including the one to visit.

Is testing still up so this can be confirmed?

Yep, I can confirm this.

As to your halloween lighting question, not sure. I just took all of the possible options from the creative prototype.

Will there be population caps on sovereign worlds similar to public worlds?
If yes, will population caps have lower thresh holds than regular worlds?

Excellent question, added under category 1

I’m not sure I have seen this question asked… and I have performed a brief search without any results coming up.

Will achievements be obtainable on Sovereign worlds?

For instance, will the Viceroy achievement be obtainable from a rental world? Because I imagine there will be some people looking forward to finally receiving this achievement and I imagine they will be very disappointed if these planets do not.

They simply should just allow your home beacon to be on a rental world.

I know there’s a tiny chance one does not have any friends and has deleted any and all worlds and locations from their account which makes them stuck with no where to go when the planet goes poof but just tackle that problem instead, make sure at least one location is still there they can warp to. Their original first ever warp point from sanctum for instance. The world the warp to for the first every time in the World List, etc. Much better solution than disallowing a home beacon on a rental world…

On creative it is one of the planet profiles so should be a choice then I suppose?

Agreed. . How difficult is it to require a player to have one location marked that is not on the rental planet. Just don’t let them create a beacon as their home on a rental if they do not.
