So warframe is free to play and one way they make money to pay for development is to sell currency you can use to speed things up?
If you play the game itâs super easy.
Same with Trove. Most large MMOs work that way. Take months to earn a new dragon or character or use real $$$ to buy it.
AMAZING! hahahahah.
Sign me up to spent Cubits on craft reduction.
Or buy frames and weapons and other various things. Or you can do it the free way and play the game to earn said items as well.
Yo I have over 1500+ hours, a clan with 200+ players, a fleshed out discord, and a nice dojo.
I think I know whatâs up
I play too. Been there done all that. Have pretty much every frame as well. Youâre not alone. Lol play with people that have been around since launch and theyâll say the same thing. Premium currency is easy to get by playing the game. Farm mission sell frame parts.
Also have it on 3 systems lol. Tho switch sucks for it.
@james Better kick the T7 generator
Ok so then one difference is these games use reducing time as a way to make rl money. Does that make them really not a good comparison to boundless? Or am I missing something?
When games have similar functions/features, they are fair game for comparison. Most of the large, long-lasting MMOs go with the F2P + MTX to pay employees & maintain the game model. Seems to work fine.
Iâm not opposed to having cosmetic MTX things in BL, but I donât know how the devs view that.
Premium currency is easy to keep if youâre not putting it back into your dojo, or giveaways.
I know how to get plat
Agree lol

This literately makes no sense.
Then later you say this. Itâs like youâre trying to explain why the crafting times are the way they are but then saying it isnât worth discussing all in one post.
I think the better reasoning for why we have crafting times behind certain items is that the more complex the item is the longer it should take to craft. How much longer and what end crafting time that is determined really is hard to say.
But taking the Shop Stand as an example and really and actually breaking down the time it takes to craft the item for a single Mass Craft is important. Itâs worth discussing in this thread as itâs a design approach and balance approach to all crafting recipes in the game that could potentially be adopted.
50 Shop Stands takes 6 hours and 15 minutes to craft without any power coils. @Dhusk probably is showing a screenshot in the OP of 2 hours 55 minutes and 18 seconds on a 7200 Power Refinery. Thatâs good information. However, to keep this analysis as simple as possible, letâs assume that 7200 power just cuts crafting times in half.
50 Plinth take 1 hour and 15 minutes to craft in your fully powered Refinery. The 2 mass crafts Storage Block needed take 34 minutes in a crafting table. The 2 mass crafts of Cotton Cloth take 50 minutes and the Sackcloth needed for that Cottoncloth (2 mass crafts) takes 50 minutes as well. This is ignoring the smelting time of Glue crafting since it takes a furnace and it probably takes more time to gather the materials than it does to craft it in a furnace. So that time is kind of irrelevant since it overlaps all the other crafting times.
Basically what it comes down to is a total of 384 minutes of crafting time or 6 hours and 24 minutes. This is just the actual crafting time it takes to craft 50 Shop Stands. Not just the crafting time alone of the Shop Stands themselves.
So to me the end product of the recipe shouldnât end up being the bulk of that crafting time. This is worth discussing even without a developer explaining the reasoning behind why the crafting times are the way they are. This is also ignoring the amount of time it takes to gather the materials up even if someone uses public regen farms for most of it. You can easily be easily looking at 8 to 10 hours of total time invested in getting 50 Shop Stands.
that would make sense with how crazy the crafting times are if the devs are planing down the line to allow you to âinfuseâ machines with cubits to reduce the time
im 100% for that too but boundless would have to go free to play in order for that to work you think people rage about the cash shop now? just wait till that drops lol
Super Hyper Mega Master Ultra Ascended Machine Coils: only 900 cubits each :>
Only on Thursdays and when people try to take boil everything down into a âthis sucks so change itâ reason.
The problem with this assumption is you are making judgements that are unfounded.
- Developers have no requirement to divulge their reasons.
- The âreasonsâ were compelling enough to actually develop the system - hence why they are in the game. If they were not compelling no time and money would have been spent to put them in place.
I am trying to keep things simple by asking the question I did. It IS relevant because I hung up on skype with James at 8 am PST and we had a conversation on crafting times. The good and bad side of it. (So please give them DATA and actual information so they can evaluate if they need to be adjusted).
As an example since we are considering adjusting time frames how about this example:
- Is it better to go from raw resources to end state item in 1 step with crafting time - like Rocks, Glue, etc = Shop stand.
- Is it better to have multiple steps to craft items - like storage, plinth, THEN shop stand.
We need an EXO
No, theyâre $15 each. Whatever that is in Cubits⌠lol
