I mean I’d probably still buy some, if it reduces the amount of coils i have to repair with my non-working AoE spanner

yes exo please
Yes that is basically what I was trying to do. It doesn’t matter what the reasons are. The reasons yesterday doesn’t mean it will be valid now. The game evolved and will continue to.
This is what I shifted to the point of the questions I asked. It is the multiple steps or the single step, etc.
If we were going to change things what would that look like. It is just a simple change times or is it redo parts of the system or even redo the whole system.
People need to start thinking in the terms of the Development team if they are going to want to help influence change.
I’d rather have coil require connected to the machine. Then just get rid of AOE boon for spanners and give them something else… what the something else is I don’t know right now.
Totally agree with @Kal-El .
so someone here who thinks it is fine, tell me, how does it help the game when I log on to put the milk glands and the oats into three extractors to make milk and have to wait three hours for that to be made?
Then have to come back after those three hours and put the milk into what I think are the two refineries to make purified milk,
Then around three hours later come back and change the mats so I can make the purified milk into fortified milk.
Which I then have to spend a few more hours putting them into one of the three machines to wait around another three hours to make the Fortified butter. Along with the adding of more mats for the process, I think.
And that is just to make the Fortified Butter for the persisting pies. I have to also make the flour which requires the extractor.
So, after the milk is made, then made into purified milk, then into fortified milk, then into fortified butter, the grain has been made into flour I can Finally put them into the mixer to let them be turned into pies. Which can take up to another hour, maybe more.
Then I have to put them I into the furnace to bake. I will be making more pies today, so I can have a accurate of how much time it will take to mass craft persisting pies.
So, while I am going through that process, yes, I can for some of the time do other chores, gather more items, But my machines are now tied up and I don’t make enough to spend the coins to have five or six of each machine, I have two of some and three of some others.
My opinion on why the crafting time is so long and so many steps. Oh, I’m going to tick off a lot of players here:
Busy work, to keep us busy doing something. And in some area it can be good, but too much of a good thing is bad. And in crafting, it can be bad – When it is TOO long. I don’t know about a lot of other MMO games, but the only reason I haven’t quit because of the stupid length of the crafting time is I enjoy other aspects of the game, I enjoy the people I meet when playing and I like some of the people on the forum.
I’m honest, I don’t like everyone here, some I like a lot, some I see as friends, some acquaintances, some I don’t like and a few here that I ignore their posts (and some who probably ignore mine).
It is mostly that which keeps me playing, If this was a game that I didn’t have others to interact with, I would have dropped this game like a hot potato because of the “busy work” which is what I see in the extensive amount of items needed for crafting them, of how long it takes to make it and to some extent the running around to gather.
I don’t want instant, I would love to have a reduction in time, say at least 50%. I’d like to see less steps, I shouldn’t have to go through so much to make pies. And just because it is one of the special pies does not mean it should take that long and require so many steps.
It would give me more time to do the things I like and not have to leave to go find another game to play while I wait for all this stuff to be finished, go back and switch items and the go play another game.
I need to stop reading the forum, soon I am going to have everyone here hating me, but I say what I think is the truth, others won’t see it that way and that is okay, we all have the right to our own opinion. This is my opinion. If you don’t agree, that is okay.
Look up to the sky
Will a new exo appear?
I hope for Umbris

You realize that you’re getting paid to craft these items right?
A lot of people say they don’t understand or there’s “no reason” for this but time is the only difficulty here, and these are ‘difficult’ items. They have long queue times and supposedly commensurate rewards.
Last time a bunch of people started pushing for something like this a critical in game item got pushed badly out of balance by people being distracted by different ‘flash’ goals at different times. This resulted in a hard nerf of 2 in game items and a real lose/lose for the players.
Watch out what you poke with those pitchforks.
If you had to pick between one or the other what is more frustrating:
- Time of each craft
- The steps (using many machines maybe) to get to the final end state you want to achieve.
Just stop, man. You literally just come into any suggestion thread and throw out non sequiturs and strawmen and dance around the conversation like you’re talking from some elevated position. We get it: you dumped a ton of money into the game during EA. It’s appreciated. However, that doesn’t give your logic any height or your reasons any value. Let me give you an example of just how stupid your linguistic dancing sessions are. I’ll use your last post:
- The “reasons” were compelling enough to actually develop the system - hence why they are in the game. If they were not compelling no time and money would have been spent to put them in place.
Consider that many of the features we had at launch are now vastly different and/or completely gone. That’s because while there may be “reasons” to initially introduce something, many times the result is shitty despite the reasons and change was necessary.
Crafting times surely had “reasons”. The result is shitty. Let’s fix it by providing a mechanism to reduce crafting times. It could be a more advanced machine or coil type that further reduces times. It could be opening up a cash shop option of cubits for reduced craft times. It could be a blanket reduction to craft times. It could be a more complex system where all your similar machines, if they share a spark generator network, have a shared inventory and share the load of crafts automatically. If the devs are truly adamant about having lengthy craft times in live, then it could be introducing private planets and a creative mode.
Put your dancing shoes away please.
Both /10chars
Since your WHOLE last post was just a personal attack I won’t even respond to that.
If you want change then put data like I have asked for 3 times now.
Read this part then:

Why is it so hard to answer the question I asked directly?
As an example since we are considering adjusting time frames how about this example:
- Is it better to go from raw resources to end state item in 1 step with crafting time - like Rocks, Glue, etc = Shop stand.
- Is it better to have multiple steps to craft items - like storage, plinth, THEN shop stand.
I am asking it because I know it will be helpful. It has nothing about being “higher than another person” or some straw man stuff. Jesus just stop yourself and actually try to have a conversation with someone who is actually trying to help solve the problem.
Crafting was close to instantaneous in WoW, and the auction house was fun to play to make big money. The waiting revolved around reputation, dailies, and gated content, but I loved that economy.
Totally different game design, and I don’t have a dog in this fight, but it’s always going to be a balance between tediousness and a healthy economy. I would imagine it’s hard to find a balance that appeals to everyone.
I’d love to see forging reworked, to where you craft a blueprint of the item, then insert the materials so they aren’t wasted, but that probably affects the economy, and people may love the way forging is currently.
Different strokes for different folks.
Depends, if it’s the mobile game pokemon go and you only have the one caught it could take upwards of 300km walked. If we’re talking classic handheld games then roughly an hour or so, again depending on the situation ![]()
Why do we even have a plinth? Other than stands and baskets(can’t member if it’s in that recipe) what’s the point of them. They are more or less useless other wise. Minus the odd “deco” placement which most of the time imo looks odd anyway. Not like it can display an item. Or any other usefulness
Soapboxing and debating is a waste of time. Turn on cspan right now for that.
Lol or the herd on espn
I gues we should be glad hes only crafting shop stands, and not chrysominter coils en masse. Iirc those have a 2day timer on them, same with pigment coils and helix coils.
