Crash on startup

So i bought the game… and its crashing on start up. It just opens and says “Boundless has stopped working”

PC Specs:
OS: Windows 10 Home 64-Bit
CPU: I7-5820K CPU @ 3.30GHz
Memory: 16GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080

Hope this helps

What is your antivirus? Avast doesn’t like boundless and you might have to retry installation and stuff with it off if it is

Im using Norton, nothing seems to appear in the history of it either

I would try to disable norton completely and see if that helps.
Edit: Or whitelist boundless

Disable your anti, try running, if it doesn’t work, re-install.

It’s that still doesn’t work it’ll take more than I can troubleshoot

If it’s not the antivirus, can you also make sure you have installed all the latest Windows updates and that you have the most recent graphics driver on your system?

Can you send the crash dump file (*.mdmp) that are in the same location as the log file to boundless@turbulenz.com.

Thanks.

Done, Let me know if I can do anything to start playing

Still can’t get on, just bumping the thread

Same problem on 980Ti. Updated Nvidia drivers, restarted, windows fully updated. Tried disabling anti-virus.

Not sure whether to refund or wait for fix.

You can try manually installing dependencies and see if that helps.

Their under the _CommonRedist folder of your Boundless install, example:

c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Boundless_CommonRedist

Just go through the subfolders and the run the executables. You can’t damage anything by trying it.

Can you confirm which graphics drivers you have installed?

Can you share your game log and the crash dump file (*.mdmp) and send them to boundless@turbulenz.com?

Can you also confirm the version of the graphics drivers you have installed?

I’ve tried doing this. Still refuses to work :slightly_frowning_face:

Hope this helps.

I sent you guys a crash log, it was by my email.

My crashdump file is empty (0 KB).

I am using GeForce Game Ready Driver Version 384.94

GeForce GTX 980 Ti
Driver version 384.94
Intel® Core™ i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz
15.95 GB RAM
2560 x 1440, 59Hz

Hey go to your file explorer and put %LOCALAPPDATA%

You should find a folder called Turbulenz and in there there should be the mdmp file.

I know many will say this wont help, but everytime I have a problem like that I have to restore my computer to a previous date, then everything works fine, then you can re-update your computer later

try what I said above, if it doesn’t work I owe you a soda

I just bought the game (never played it) so it probably wouldn’t help and even if it would - I don’t want to restore my computer to an earlier date.
